(Taylor's POV)
It was still pretty early and I was bored so I invited Uzo over.
We greeted each other with a hug.
"Hey girl how are you?" Uzo ask
"Great!"
We sat down and caught up. I absolutely love her. She is like my best friend. We talked for a good while before we got hungry and made lunch. I wonder what Laura is doing.
I'm supposed to be helping Uzo with the food not thinking about Laura. I shook my head. What is Laura doing to me.
My refrigerator was pretty much empty so we had to settle for a bowl of grapes.
"Taylor, you haven't stopped smiling since I got here. Why are you so happy."
"I'm just happy that you're here. I missed you."
Uzo looked at me with a "what you just said is complete bullshit and you know it" face.
"Really?" She ask
"Yes really." I smile nervously.
She got closer and analyzed me to see if she could find out if I was telling the truth.
"You're lying."
"I'm not."
"Your eyes shifted to the right."
"So..........." I said not knowing where she was going with this.
"That means you're lying."
"No it doesn't."
"Yes it does because everytime you lie you do that."
I let out a sigh.
"Oh my goodness there is someone!!" Uzo says loudly.
"Whoa wait no! No there isn't anyone!"
"Taylor tell me." She pouts.
I want to tell Uzo because I tell her everything. She's like my diary. I decide to go against my conscience and not tell her anything.
"It's nobody."
"Okay since you won't tell me I'll ask Laura. She knows everything."
"Go ahead."
As if on cue Laura called me like she promised.
"Hey"
"I'm still going to kill you."
"You would never."
"Expect the unexpected."
"I'll remember that."
We talked for a good 10 minutes until Laura had to go.
"So I'll see you soon?"
"Definitely."
Uzo smiled widely and shook her head.
"What?" I ask
"Who was that?"
"It was Laura."
"Laura. Oh........Oh it all makes sense now!"
"What?! What makes sense now."
"You're happy because of Laura. I knew you two were a thing."
"No! We're not a thing," I lied "Why would you think that?"
"Because I saw your smile get impossibly bigger while you were talking to her."
"That's because she said something funny."
"So you guys aren't together?"
"No."
"You looked to the right." She concluded.
Damnit I did look to the right didn't I? I'm such a bad liar.
"Okay I'll tell you."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Great. Please tell me that you and Laura are dating!"
"We are." I said lowly.
"I knew you wouldn't tell me. Why would...... Wait...... What!!!!"
"Me and Laura are dating." I confess.
Uzo jumped up and down.
"I knew it I knew it I knew it!"
She hugged me and twirled me around.
"you know everyone is going to freak out when they hear about it. Did you tell Natasha and Yael?"
"No and I'm not going to tell them or anyone else."
"Tash and yael are you and Laura's biggest fans. Why haven't you told them."
"Because they are animals and they would never ever stop talking about it. We plan on keeping it on the low. Besides we haven't been together for that long. You're the only person I've told about us."
"Fine I'll keep it to myself. Your secret is safe with me. This is great though. I'm so happy you two finally got together. I knew it would happen soon. Well, everyone knew it would happen soon. Tell me exactly how it happened don't leave out a single detail."
I laughed at her enthusiasm.
"Okay where do I begin... Oh yeah."
I started with the night at the movies and how I discreetly confessed my love for Laura and I ended by telling her about our little dinner date.
"All that happened within 4 days?" Uzo questioned.
I laughed because that question was similar to what Laura asked me earlier.
"Yeah and it has been the best 4 days of my life."
"Awwww. Sounds like a perfect love story. I'm happy for you. You know your not going to be able to keep that a secret for long."
"Yeah I know. Everyone is gonna freak out and honestly, I'm still not completely done freaking out."
"Make sure I'm there when you break the news Tasha and Yael."
"I'm kinda afraid to tell them honestly. I'll just have Laura do it."
"So Laura wears the pants?"
"Shut up." I stuck my tongue out at her.
