"Is that really a...a dragon?" I ask and look at the light-blue creature. "Schh! Keep it down, it's a secret."says Darya and look around too see if anyone herd. The dragon is very small (for being a great mythical creature) and it looks like it's a bit fat. "Wow, and I thought I was the crazy one who has a wolf as a pet." I say surprised. "Then I had right after all, Raven is a wolf. I knew he was too big for being a dog puppy." Says Darya and pick up the dragon and hug it. "Did you hear? Mommy had right all the time, yes I had." She says. I'm just standing there and watching. "Okay, how old is your 'dog'?" I ask Darya, who starts laughing. "She is ten years, and still growing." Says Dara. "How did you find a dragon?" I ask. "Well, ten years ago on my fifth birthday I ran away. My parents was obsessed with their scientist's job, but because to me they couldn't job as much as they wanted. So on my fifth birthday they told me that I was gonna move to aunt Kate, but I didn't wanna move away from the lake house we lived in. And I decided to run away. When I had been gone for a week the police found me on a raft floating on the lake, with a egg-shaped rock. And that's the story about how I found Misty." Says Darya, and I can see that she doesn't like to talk about it. "Wow." I say. The I realize something, it's very quiet. Too quiet. "Wait, how much is the clock?!" I say and look around. "It's 12:30! We're half an hour late for class!" Says Darya, and quickly gives Misty some salmon and fresh water. Then we run to history class.
"Sorry we're late." We say and go to a table in the back of the classroom. "Well since you two are late..." The teacher begins to say. "Elissa. Tell me something about the middle ages." The teacher says. I swear that everyone is looking at me. But I'm not scared, I now much about the middle ages. "The long bow was a popular weapon, until the crossbow came during the middle ages. The long bow could have a towing weight on 45-50kilo, but a crossbow was easier. It had a trigger that released the arrow, and it was much easier to learn how to shoot with with the crossbow." I say. Those who stared at me and hope that I would fail, just looks at me with big surprised eyes. Even the teacher looks surprised, but just for a second. "Darya." He says. "Can you also tell me something about the middle ages?" He says. Darya's face gets ghost-pale, and she looks scared. "Ehm it's...well...ehm." She says. And then something happens. Her ice-blue eyes gets almost white. It's a small change and I seems to be the only one who see it. But the most scary thing is what she says, she tells almost everything there is to know about the middle ages. Even stuff I didn't know. "Okay, okay. That's enough, Darya." The teacher says. When the teacher walks around the classroom and give us homework, Darya's eyes gets normal again. "What happened?" She asks me. "I have no idea, your eyes turned white and you told us everything there is to know about the middle ages." I say and look at the homework in front of me. "Well, people usually tells me that I talk too much. But I don't know anything about the middle ages." Says Darya thoughtfully.
After the the 'know it all' incident, the school day goes fast. When the bell rings, Darya and I go to the dog place to check how our so called 'dogs' are. In the house there are a lot of dog owners, who's getting ready to go home with their dogs. I open the door to Ravens room, and smile. A black tail is sticking out from the tent, and starts waving. "Are you ready to go home Raven?" I ask. Out of the tent comes Raven, and he looks really tired. "How can you be tired, when all you do is sleeping and chewing on a log?" I ask him. "Is there anything else to do here, except for sleeping and chewing on a log." I hear someone say. "Who said that?" I ask. "I said it." I look around. "Who?" I'm starting to get really scared, the voice is in my head. "Me, Raven down here." I look at Raven, and for the second time today I swear I almost have a heartattack. "How can I hear you?" I ask Raven. "I don't know. But it's quite awesome, right?" He says. "I can communicate with my wolf. I knew it: I'm crazy." I say and look at Raven. "Aren't you ready to go home yet?" Darya asks. I turn around. "Darya! You won't believe this: I can hear what Raven say!" I say. "Okay, this is scary. I know everything there is to know about the middle ages, and you can talk with animals." Says Darya. "Is that your friend who's scared of me?" I look at Raven. "Almost everyone is scared of you, and yes she is my friend." I say to Raven. Darya looks like she have seen a ghost. "What did he say?" She asks. "He wondered if you are my friend, and if you are scared of him." I say. "This is either amazing or horrible." Says Darya. "We shouldn't tell anyone about this." I say. "I totally agree." Says Darya. "We are closing this building now, so you have to go." Someone says. I've been so scared about the fact that I can talk with Raven, so I haven't noticed that we three are the only ones left in the house. "We're on our way." I say and put on Raven his dark green collar. "Green has always been my favorite color." "That's...good?" I say. "That's awesome." When we come out from the house, it's almost dark. "I should really go home now." Says Darya. "I should probably already be home by now." I say and smile. "Bye, and see you tomorrow." Says Darya. "Bye." I say and starts to walk home. "Can I run without the leash?" I look at Raven. "I'm sorry, but in the school area you must have the leash." I say. "Stupid rule."
