I look at Darya. "By who? Why? Where?" Enlil stops me from asking more. "To answer your questions; we don't know, don't know that either, at the armor table." The armor table...that's where I got that strange feeling. That's it! "When Jay and I were at the armor table, I got a strange feeling. I thought it wasn't something to worry about, but now..." Darya knows what I mean. "But now you know it was something to worry about, after all." Jay puts in his opinion. "Then there's where we going now." Suddenly someone comes running towards us. When the person comes closer, I see who it is. "Sylas!" "Something's wrong." Raven growls. When Sylas reaches us he doesn't stop. "Hurry! Run and follow me!" We stand surprised for one or two seconds. Then we see what Sylas is running from; a dozen guards are approaching. Fast. "What the...?!" I don't get a chance to finish my sentence, before Jay drags me up on Flame. Darya and Enlil are already a few meters ahead of us. "What's going on?!" I exclaim when we reach Sylas. "I will tell you later. Now we have to split up. You two run left." He points at Darya and Enlil. "And you two ride right." He tells me and Jay. Sylas looks very stressed, which makes me worried. "What's going on? Why are we chased? And..." Sylas interrupts me. "I will tell you four everything later. Now run and don't look back, we will meet at my cabin in two days." Jay turns Flame into the deep forest. I look back and see that Darya and Enlil turns left, and how Sylas leads the guards away. The pale winter sun is fading at the horizon, and makes Flames chestnut coat looks like fire when she's galloping thru the silent forest.
"There!" Jays voice wakes me up. "What?" I rub my tired eyes and realize that I've fallen asleep. I look around. The full moon lights up the forest, together with a thousand stars. "I've found shelter." Jay points at a mountain cave. He turns Flame to the cave and she starts walk. When we reach the cave, Flame stops. Jay jumps easily down from Flame, and holds out his hand to help me down. I try to slide down, which apparently don't work. Jay catches me when I fall. "Careful." He says. I look deep into his red-brown eyes, and feel how I blush. "Erhm, thanks." I try to stand up, but my tired legs don't cooperate. "You should accept some help sometimes." Jay smiles and carries me to the cave, then he goes to get Flame. "Someone is in love." "I'm not in love." Raven sits down next to me. "If you say so..." "I say so." I lay down at the cave floor and try to sleep. I think about everything that's happened since I moved to Light Cove. I have four new friends, I've been told that I'm a Element keeper, and I have traveled to medieval time. All those things have happened under just a few weeks. Raven interrupts my thoughts. "Good night Elissa." "Good night Raven."
"Elissa, wake up." I turn my back against the sound. "Elissa." I open my eyes. "What?" "I had a nightmare, I can't sleep." I realize that it's Ravens voice, I turn to him. "What did you dream?" I talk low, almost whispering. "We were captured by knights, and they locked us in a cage. It was horrible." I hug him. "It's okay, it was just a dream. Do you want to go for a walk?" Raven nods. I move as quiet as I can, and when we reach the cave opening I get a chock. There are guards near the cave. Their armor is glistening in the moonlight. "Shoot!" I whisper. I slowly back into the caves shadows. "Jay!" He doesn't hear me. "Jay!" I whisper, a little louder this time. Jay sits up new-awaked. "What is it?" "Shhh! You must be quiet, there are guards outside the cave." Jay jumps up on his feet, and stares at me. "There are what outside the cave?!" He whispers. I walk to my bow and quiver, and put the quiver on my back. "There are guards outside the cave, but they haven't seen us. Yet." Jay picks up his sword and puts it in his belt. "We should get out of here before they see us." Flame stands up, she is very quiet for a horse, and walks to Jay. "Elissa, I'm scared. This is like my dream." I hug Raven. "They won't capture us, we're too fast and too smart for them." We go quiet to the cave opening, and I start counting the guards. "There are four guards, this doesn't seem right." Jay agrees. "This can be a trap, I've been reading about things like this in fantasy books." I look surprised at Jay. "Wow, I didn't took you for being a fantasy book reader." "I don't want people to know it." "If you two are done chattering I would like to tell you that the guards have seen us." I stop looking at Jay and turn my face to the guards. They seem to act normal, except for one thing. Now there's five guards, and the fifth one walks towards us. "Jay, we're trapped. They've seen us."
