Sportlov!!!! Vad gör ni på sportlovet? Jag tänker mest skriva, rida och vara med vänner. Jag hoppas att förra kapitlet inte var en total röra, jag försökte göra det förståeligt. Tack för alla röster, kommentarer, och läsare.
The rest of the guards starts to follow the fifth one. I put an arrow on the bowstring and stretch the bow. "Stay where you are!" The guards stops for one second, before they approach us with swords and daggers in their hands. I can't hold the bow stretched for more then a few seconds, so I take a deep breath and release the arrow. One word: practice. If I had practice, I would probably hit one of the guards. But the arrow miss by two meters. "Why did you do that?" Jay sounds nervous. "It was supposed to hit one of the guards." I desperately try to figure something out, so we can survive this. "Any plan yet?" "I'm working on it." "There's more guards coming." "Do you have a plan?" Jay looks desperately at me. "As I said; I'm working on it." The guards are just five meters from us. Then I get a plan. It's not good, it's crazy, and we will get in real trouble if it doesn't work. But it is a plan. "Now I have a plan, follow my lead." Jay nods.
I take a deep breath. "Wait! Can't we not just sort things out? Like: who are you? And why are you walking towards us with weapons in your hands?" One of the guards, probably the leader, holds up a hand. The other guards stops, but the leader keeps walking to us. He stops two meters in front of me and Jay, and starts talk with a dark and deep voice. "You are right, we could sort things out. We are traders, we trade things like wood and wool. We are walking towards you with weapons in our hands because we have heard that there is two Element keepers hiding in this forest. We could get rich if we captured and sold them." I feel how my hope shrinks. This plan didn't work. Jay looks at the moon, and then at me. "We should go home now sister, our parents are probably worried." Then he smiles friendly to the guard. "Well, I hope you find them." The guard, leader, trader or whatever he is, smiles back. "Oh, I have already found them."
The other guards runs towards us, we don't even have a chance against them. Jay tries to defend us with his sword, but one of the guards hit him on his hand so he drops the sword. The guards walk towards me and Jay, with ropes in their hands this time. One of them walk towards me. "Stand still so I can bind you, and then I might not hurt you and your friend." "That's enough!" Raven runs out from the shadows, and bites the guard in his arm. "AHHH! GET THIS THING OF ME!" Another guard comes to help and puts a rope around Ravens nose, causing him to loose the grip and fall. "Raven!" I kneel down to help him, but one of the guards puts a rope around my wrists and drags me up on my feet. "Stand still!" I try to fight, but realize that the guard is much stronger than I am. I let out a deep sigh and stand still. I look at Jay, who's standing next to me. "The plan didn't work, I'm sorry." The guard pushes us out from the cave, and jumps up on their horses. Flame is walking next to the leaders horse, tied. I look up at the sky and feel how a snowflake lands on my nose. It's followed by lots of big, fluffy snowflakes. Jay takes my hand, which is not so hard because our hands are tied in front of us, and smiles at me. "We will get out of this, I promise." A guard rides up next to us.
"Quiet!" He exclaim, and continues to ride past us. I feel how my hope comes back, I won't let anyone defeat me. I bend down and take up a bit of the cold snow. I shape it into a hard, round snowball. Then I try to aim at the guard. Jay don't see me before it's too late. "Wait Elissa!" The snowball hit the guards neck, and some snow probably gets between his tunic and skin. "AHHH! COLD!" I smile at the sight of the guard trying to get the snow off himself. The leader raise his hand and everyone stops. Then he jumps down from his horse and walks straight to me and Jay. "Which one of you threw the snowball?!" Jay begins to take a step forward, but I stop him. "I threw the snowball." I try to keep my head up high, and look brave. "You should show respect for us!" He raises his arm. I jump to the side, right before his fist comes. "Why should I show you respect? You captured us!" After several arguments against Raven, I've learned much. The leader mutterings something about 'small girls being disrespectful' and walks to his horse.
After a few hours of walking, stumbeling, and being poked on with spears, the leader finally raises his hand. I look at Jay. "I hope Darya and Enlil are okay, safe at the cabin." Jay sighs. "They are probably safe. And we have other things to worry about." I brush away the snow of a fallen tree and sit down. The morning sun gives us some warmth. Jay sits down next to me. A guard comes and gives us each bowl with soup and a pice of bread. We eat under silence, and when we are finished the leader comes to us. "Hello, did the soup taste well?" I raise an eyebrow. First he tries to hit me, then he asks if the soup tasted well. I don't like this. Jay is the one who answers. "What do you want?" His voice is sharp as his sword, which the guards took from him. The leader answers calmly. "I just want to ask you two about your elements." I stand up and try to look taller, but I'm still shorter than the leaders shoulder. "What makes you think that we will answer?" I'm tired of being told to 'show respect' and 'be quiet'. I'm often shy, but after walking for hours with guards poking on me with spears and telling me what to do, I've lost my patience. The leaders face darkens, and his black eyes is filled with hate. "Do you know who you are talking to?" His voice is just as calm as before. "A man who says that he's a trader, but really is a big dumb..." Jay interrupts me. "Erhm, excuse me great leader, but can I talk with my sister alone for a moment?" If Jay haven't said 'great leader', we would probably be in big trouble right now. The leader walks muttering away to the campfire, where the other guards are. Jay turns towards me. "Elissa, what the heck are you doing?! I try to come up with an escape plan, but if you keep getting us in trouble they will watch us 24/7! We won't have a chance!" I look down on the snowy ground. "I know, but...I...it..." I don't finish the sentence. "Elissa." Jay takes my hands in his, and I look up into his red-brown eyes. "We're going to get out of here, you just need to have some patience and stay out of trouble. Can you do that?" His soft voice feels like a warming blanket. I nod. "Yes, thanks for giving me hope."
