Chapter three. Unexpected friendship.

Just a few meters from the school area is a forest, which is really big. "Can I run without the leash now?" "Yes now you can run without the leash." I say and laugh when Raven run. "Why are you just standing there? Come on, run." "You are a lot faster than me. I wouldn't have a chance." I say. "Do you talk to your dog?" I hear someone say. Why is everyone sneaking up behind me today? I quickly turn around. "Who is it?" I ask. "I understand if you don't wanna see me, after what I've done. But I really need help." Someone says. "I can't help you if I can't see you." I say. And out of the shadows comes Jay. "You?" I ask surprised. "Yes me. Listen something has happened to me." He says. "What could possibly happen to you?" I say and call on Raven, who comes running and stops by my side. "This." Says Jay, and if it wasn't for everything else that happened today I wouldn't believe what happened. From his hand comes a flame. A FLAME! I quickly back away. My greatest fears are: deep water, heights, big animals(except for Raven) and fire. Raven starts growling. "You...you can make fire." I say chocked. "Darya knows everything, I can speak with animals, and you can make fire out of nowhere!" I say, but regret it directly. "Wait you two are like this to?!" Says Jay surprised. "Now! I mean yes, but how?" I say, and see how Jay starts burning. "Jay you should calm down." I say. "WHAT?! I am calm!" Shouts Jay. "No you're not! You're burning!" I scream. Jay looks at his hand, and I can see that he has a great panic. "It's okay! Calm down!" I shout. "I can't! I can't" Says Jay. "Yes you can! You have to! Or else you might burn us all!" I scream, and feel how it's getting warmer. "Jay!" I shout, and hit the ground. Before everything fades away, i can see a burning flame that's slowly gets smaller.

The ground is moving, and I can barely stand up. Then a giant wave approaches, it hit me with all it's power. I start falling, The wind is very strong and it's tossing me around. Suddenly I can see something beneath me, it looks like fire. I try to open my eyes, but I cant. I fall into the fire. Just when I feel the flames that's about to burn me, I hear a voice. I recognize that voice, i've heard it before. "Elissa! Wake up! Please wake up!" I swear I know that voice. "Raven!" I scream and open my eyes. I try to sit up, but something is holding me back. "You have to be still." I look around. I'm still in the forest, and Raven is still with me. "Raven how are you? What happend? Where is Jay?" I ask him. "I'm fine, Jay figured out that he could make fire, and Jay also fell to the gound. And don't worry, he is breathing."  "What would I do without you?" I ask Raven and hug him. "Probably be in danger all the time." I try to sit up again, and this time it works. "Oh, thanks god you're awake!" Says Jay. I look up and see his worried face. "Yes I'm awake." I say, and gets the chock of my life when I look at my hands. They are really burned, and hurts a lot. I feel how my fears turn into anger. "Did you do this?!" I shout and stand up on my feet. "I din't mean to." Says Jay. I look up at the sky and see the full moon shine. "I'm going home now!" I say and try to take a step, but I fall. Jay try's to help me up, but I don't need help. Not from him. "I can get up by my self!" I say. "I just try to help you." Says Jay and look at me. "As I said: I can get up by my self." I say and walk home.

The next day when Raven and I walk to school, Darya meets us at the school entry. "Wow! You look tired." Says Darya and smile. "You can't guess what happened to me last night." I say. "What happened?" Asks Darya. "Jay can make fire out of nowhere. And this happened." I say and show Darya my hands. "He burned you?!" Shouts Darya. "He didn't mean to." I say and wonder why I defend Jay. "Wow." Says Darya, and we start walk to the dog place. On the way to the dog place is the stable. I can see Jay riding on a red horse in the paddock, he start galloping when he see me. I just keep walking with Raven by my side. "Well, today we have obstacle course before lunch." Says Darya. "Oh, great. That's something I'm actually quite good at." I say and smile. "We'll see about that, Charlie is the one who's gonna build it." Says Darya and looks worried. "Who is Charlie?" I ask, but I don't know if I want to hear the answer. "Remember when I told you that Jay is the only one you have to avoid? Well there's Carlie too, he is at least 180 cm and strong as a bear." Says Darya. "So you say that he is 'dangerous'?" I ask and laugh. "I would really like too see what the '180 cm bear' looks like." I say, but regret it directly when I see Daryas face. You know that moment when you say something about someone, and that person suddenly shows up behind your back? Well, I'm about to experience how that person behind my back react. "Elissa, you should really be quiet." Says Darya. I stop laugh and turn around. And there is Charlie. He looks like a giant in front of me. "Oh, ehm...hello?" I say and wish I could be invisible, but apparently that's not an option. "Hello? Is that all you can say 'shorty'?" Says Charlie and laugh. "What?! I'm only twenty centimeters shorter than you! And you call me 'shorty'?" I say loud. Some people gathers around us to see what's going on. "If you call me a '180 cm bear', I can call you..." Says Charlie, and it looks like he's thinking like never before. I smile, I can't miss this opportunity to bite back. "It smells like something's burning. You should stop think so much." I say and many of those who's standing around us starts laugh. "Good words. Can I bite him?" I look at Raven, who growls. "No, that's not a good idea." I answer and Raven seems to calm down. "QUIET!" Screams Charlie, and everyone backs away. People often calls me stubborn, and now I understand why. "You!" Says Charlie and points at me. "You are like a 160 cm bee, small and annoying!" He says and before I even can react, his fist comes. I try to jump away, and see Jay coming. "Jay! Wait!" I scream, but to late. "Leave her alone!" Says Jay and takes the hit. Raven starts to growl again. "I'm gonna bite that giant soon!" "Don't you dare do that!" I say to Raven. "Do what? Hit your stupid boyfriend?" Asks Charlie and smiles. "I am not her boyfriend!" Says Jay. And out of his hand comes a small flame.
