Chapter 4: Hunting

The next morning I make myself a cup of coffee, like usual. Then I realized that it's Saturday! Nothing was too exiting about it though, just that I didn't have to go to those annoying classes. I just wanted to be alone. The hunger has been getting worse by the day, and I'm afraid I might lose it. I don't want any unwanted attention on me, or any unwanted deaths for that matter.

I play my guitar for a little bit, it helps me relax, just as drawing does the same. I also use it as another step to being more human, if only I could actually be human. Their lives seem so fun and innocent.

I feel really hungry again, I really need to go hunting, to my dismay.

I get ready, putting on a long black sweater with leggings. I brush my hair then slip on my converse.

As I'm walking down towards the gates of the school, someone grabs my arm.

"Where ya going?" Someone asks, Aido.

"Oh, I, uhh, just going for a....uhh, walk," I stutter, pulling my arm away.

"Really?" He says, obviously not buying it.

"W-well, I was..uh..running out of, um, pencils and stuff for, er, drawing or, um, school..." I stutter again, I'm not really too good at talking, let alone having a conversation.

He still didn't seem convinced, but he let me go anyway.

While out in the city, I roam around for an alley or something. This part of town seems pretty deserted. I see in the distance a younger girl just standing around ominously. What easy prey, sadly.

I slide my mask out of my pocket to put it on, then I walk up to her, and put my hand on her shoulder gently.

"Hello little girl, are you lost?" I ask her.

She just smiles a devilish smile.

She walks forward, her back to me, and turns around. She then giggles and runs away.

I chase after her, and she leads me to an alley and to two other people. The girl stops in her tracks and giggles again. She turns around to face me.

Then the little girl attacks me, and I instinctively bring out my Koukaku. The other two people also attack me. What are these people?

I look back at them, they all are staring at me with glowing red eyes. Vampires!

The eldest one, a girl, attacks me first, and I dodge easily.

Then the second oldest attacks me, a boy. I kill him off easily.

Then the little girl attacks again, and I really don't want to harm her. I move out of the way of her and move for her 'sister' I would assume, which only makes it worse. I kill her sister with a single blow.

I look back to the little girl, she looks terrified but determined to kill me. What a shame.

"I'm sorry," I say to her, before finishing her off too.

I then begin to eat. I really hate it, but I have to or I will lose control. I leave the little girl.

I pull out a bag from my pocket and put some leftovers in it. Hopefully I won't have to go hunting anytime soon, I hate it.

I return back to Cross Academy, it was starting to get dark out. The last rays of sunshine had just left, leaving darkness as I walk the streets.

Finally, I reached the gates. I walk though, heading for my dorm, when I hear the click of a gun,

"Stop right there, vampire," Zero says to me.

I freeze in my place. It's then I realize that I had blood on my shirt, crap.

What will he do now?
