Today was the day. No going back on plans. Perrie was going to come out and confess his love for Jade.. With a gift.

Today was Valentine's day, and Perrie has been nervous the past few weeks. Would Jade reject her gift and love? Or will she feel the same way? Perrie sighed.

She parked her car in Jade's driveway and sat back in her seat. She wasn't quite sure if she was ready yet. She glanced over at the bouquet of flowers and picked them up. Holding the flowers close to her chest, she wished herself luck, and exited the car.

As he looked at Jade's house, she saw the front window curtains draw back, and Jade was looking out. When Jade noticed her, she smiled and waved, then scurried over to answer the door. Perrie walked up the porch steps.

Before she could knock, Jade opened the door and practically pulled her in.

"Perrie! Why are you here? Aren't you going to spend Valentine's day with Zayn?" Jade noticed the flowers and pointed at them. "Are those for your mam? They're beautiful! She'll love them!"

"Ah.. Um, no," Perrie stuttered. "These are for you."

Jade was astonished. "Perrie... What are you trying to say?"

"I'm trying to say that I-I have really liked you for a while now and-"

"But, but Zayn..."

"I may even have more feelings than 'like' and-"

"Won't he be sad?"

"I think I love you," Perrie finished.

Jade opened her mouth as to say something, but quickly shut it. She studied the bouquet closer and took it out of Perrie's hands hesitately.

"Perrie, I'm flattered. I really am, but I have to ask about-"

"I left Zayn," Perrie stared down at the floorboards, twiddling her thumbs.

"Wh- Why would you leave him? You two were so happy together. Well, at least it seemed like it."

Perrie looked up at Jade, staring into her eyes.

"I left him for you." Perrie stepped closer to Jade, grabbing the flowers and setting it down somewhere nearby before. Perrie took hold of Jade's hands before she could protest.

"I had a feeling I could be happier with you. I don't know if you even like me. I don't know if you even like girls, but I do know that everytime I look at you and everytime I hear your voice and that beautiful laughter, that I'm hopelessly in love with my friend."

Jade continued to stare at Perrie. Her face was flushed pure red. Jade glanced down at Perrie's hands, which were intertwined with hers. Perrie stared back at her, eyes full of hope.

"Perrie, I never knew you felt that way about me. I always pushed back my feelings for you because of the same reasons."

"So... so all this time you-" Perrie's words trailed off. She was too busy worrying about her own feelings and the terrible thought of being rejected, that he never acknowledged Jade's affection towards her.

Jade nodded, a faint smile on her face. "Perrie, you could have confessed sooner. You kept me waiting, friend."

"I'm sorry. Oh, and Jade?"

"What is it?"

Perrie leaned forward, closer and closer to Jade's ear.

"Jade, will you be my Valentine?" She whispered

"Of course, Pez," Jade grinned, pulling Perrie into a hug.

She had a feeling this was the start of a beautiful relationship.
