The next day

Peter

I tightened my bow tie and turned to my father.

"Dad? What do you think?" I stretched my arms out wide waiting for his approval.

"Perfect son."

"Thanks dad."

"How's my tux look Bruno?"

"Great dad. Excuse me we'll take 10 of these."

"10?" My dad said in amazement.

"For the groomsmen pop."

"Oh. Brunito. I've been meaning to ask you how's your fiancee?"

"She's wonderful. Why?"

"Bruno family is important to me and it should be important to you. Your sister came to the house yesterday telling me about what she did and it was wrong but she's still your sister. You need to make it right. We've all got to learn to get along."

"I understand pop." I patted my shoulder.

"Good. You have two weeks until you're married son. You have to start acting like a husband and pretty soon you'll have to start acting like a father."

"You're right dad." I sighed. "You're right. I understand."

Lady

I was out shopping with my sisters.

We were getting things for the babies. Like baby food, milk, toys.

We also went to home depot so we could find a color to paint their room.

"So we're painting the babies room blue." I said walking down the aisle.
"But I see seven different shades of blue."

"Come on Lori Anna, what you painting it? Sky blue? Indigo?" Tisha said.

"Shit, I ain't know! There's, 8, 9, 10, colors and I only need one." I said irritated.

"Baby sister, 'won't you try sky blue?"

"That's too sissy for boys, Tisha. If my babies is boys, I ain't raising no sissies."

"Lori Anna, them baby books say that that's a good color to paint the room." Tonia said.

"All them baby books is sissy too!" I said.

They laughed at me but I was so serious.

I finally picked out a color and we found a baby station.

"Wait, how do you buy the furniture?"

"You gotta pay for it here and they deliver it to you." Tracy said.

I paid for three cribs, the baby station, the trashcan for the diapers, anything and everything that a baby would need.

"Lori Anna you seems more eager about having the babies, than your wedding. You're getting married in two weeks, baby sister."

"Yeah I know that." I said signing my receipt. I handed it to the cashier and we walked out.

Tonia caught up with me.

"Wait, baby sister, do y'all got everything in order already?"

"What for thr wedding?"

"Yeah baby sister."

"Tonia, I don't even wanna think about that goddamn wedding."

We were walking ahead of my other sisters as we walked to my truck.
