Walking gingerly back up the steps that lead to my house, I panic as my phone starts pinging repeatedly, so ramming my hands around in my pockets, I exhale with relief as I switch it on silent before I enter the house.
My parents would of killed me if I had woken them up before 6am.
Slipping quietly through the front door, I released my breath as I was met with complete and utter silence, they were still asleep thankfully.
I removed my vans and headed for the stairs tip toeing across the laminate flooring, if I can make it up stairs and to my bedroom I wouldn't need to face anyone else all day and I can wallow in self pity in peace and quiet.
"Where were you Evie-Leigh?" I heard my father grumble, well I'm definitely fucked now; he used the full name.
"I couldn't sleep and I didn't want to wake you hanging around the house, so I went out and-" I rambled desperately, I didn't need him starting. I'd never hear the end of it.
"Yeah okay whatever, I don't care anyway," he waved me off carelessly and although I was relieved he wasn't pissed, it definitely stung that his lack of care for me was so little now.
When I made it to the comfort and safety of my room I sighed sadly before taking my phone out so I could see what all the noise was about earlier. It was still vibrating like crazy and from what I could see it was all Twitter notifications.
I attempted to scroll to see the first notification but there was so many coming through I gave up, though most mentioned mine and Michael's Twitter handles but I only caught a few as they scrolled down.

With shaky hands I typed Michael's Twitter username into the search bar, my hand were shaking that much it took me three attempts due to many attempts at failing to spell.
But when his profile finally loaded; I saw it next to his name.
