Ashton's POV

"There lies my best friend. He always has been and no matter what, him, Calum and Luke always will be. Nothing or nobody will ever be able to replace him," I cried quietly, refusing to let my emotions out so publicly.

"I remember the day I first met this crazy kid," I chuckled, "It was at a couple of band practises with Luke because Cal just couldn't be bothered to show up,"

"He was full of praise and constructive criticism and at the time I was like mate please don't tell me what I could do to improve? But now I'm actually forever grateful, Michael pushed me to raise my game and without him I wouldn't be as good as I am today," I sniffled, realising my wingman in motivation truly was gone forever.

"He was like a little brother to me so in a way, so I always felt the need to look out for him, give him brotherly advice and listen to him rant if he needed to," I smiled sadly, "I don't know what to do without him now, he was a part of us for so long and I'm lost and numb cause he's gone,"

"But knowing he's in a better place and that he died and is no longer suffering is enough for me, I love you Mikey," I sobbed as I switched places with Luke allowing him the stage as I sat down next to a crying Calum.

Now it was Luke's turn to give a little speech for Michael and then again with Evie cause he was the only one who'd met the girl who stole Michaels heart and brought him true happiness.

"This is genuinely one of the hardest things I've ever had to do...," Luke whispered, his eyes again already brimming with tears, "Michael used to tell me stories about this dream he had, we were 15 and dreaming of conquering the world with music, he wanted to skip college and chase a career in music, he already knew how to play guitar, he wrote songs and showed them to me once. He had so much talent and passion to shoot for the stars. I'm so damn glad that I was lucky enough to be part of it and watch him grow and develop as a phenomenal musician,"

"I had the amazing honour of having Michael as a best friend and I'm so glad in these last months of his life that he found his true happiness in Evie,"

I gulped as I glanced at the people watching me, they knew as well as I did that it was close to Luke's breaking point and they knew now that he was going to talk about Evie.

"I've been trying to think of the perfect thing to say for the beautiful girl who my best friend fell in love with. I've spent hours and hours trying to find the right words but now I'm here and what I'm saying doesn't even come close to what that she deserves." He took a breath before speaking.

"Evie messaged Michael one day, she told him about her life, her troubles and lastly her depression," he sighed sadly before continuing, "She'd send messages each and everyday, telling him about her day, telling him how much of an inspiration he was to her to keep on living and about how much our music saved her," he paused to take a breath, "When he finally replied and they started talking regularly, they became close and over time Michael was helping fix and heal Evie, she was becoming a much more positive and happy person and I was proud of Michael for that,"

"The day I met Evie she told me she was thankful for Michael entering her life and that she couldn't ever imagine him not being in it because he'd become the light of her life but what she didn't know, was that she had become his,"

"Michael never told Evie of his own personal demons that were pulling him down and he didn't ever intend on doing so. He told me this was because she was helping him rid of them without even knowing it, she was healing him just by being in his presence and for that I'll never be able to thank Evie enough," Luke was crying now but i knew he wasn't finished.

"I personally don't think anyone else could of made Michael as happy as he was these past few months, I had the honour of knowing and meeting Evie and knowing, being in a band and being best friends with Michael Clifford and I wouldn't change it for the world, I'll never forget you. I miss you so much Mikey, I love you bro," I sniffled as the tears flowed freely down my face seeing Luke so torn.

Evie and Michael were buried side by side, something they've been ever since they first met a few months back. They were inseparable really, something they've been ever since they started talking regularly and getting to know one another on Twitter.

They fixed one another.

They were each other's happiness.

And they fell in love over Twitter.
