Heidi Rutledge was exhausted, but focused. She squinted her hazel eyes to see well. Her computer device was in a small print, a problem for her. Her husband, Bryce was more technology savvy than she was. He would know how to adjust the font-size. He was asleep, and she refused to wake him. He was a good worker, Veer, and husband. He worked from sun-up to sundown. Today was his day off, and she couldn't be happier. When the time was right, they'd discuss baby names. She rubbed her stomach happily. She quietly waddled upstairs; she needed to take her vitamins. She was an E.M. Pathis or Empath. It meant he could feel and channel other people's emotions, be they veer or h-u.. On top of that she was Pre-med but her powers forced her to withdraw. Bryce was a Fera Chow, so he had wolf-like abilities, he couldn't morph into the animal, but he had the talents, senses, and reflexes. She crept in the door, she saw him passed out. Heidi smiled at him, because she could feel his dream.

"Look at that. Your daddy's dreaming about you." She expressed quietly and  smiled at her pregnant stomach. She moved closer, and slowly slid into bed with him. Bryce's eyes opened, they shifted over to a glowing blue and he moved quickly to kiss her forehead. She smirks with her eyes closed.

"You're supposed to be asleep."

"I know, but I smelled your perfume. You know that it bothers my nose, honey."

The woman opened her eyes and stared into her husband's eyes. "Sorry, but it's the only one I got left." She touched his face, his eyes changed back to brown. She sighed with content. "Hi."

He took off her glasses, and placed them on the night stand. He looked at his wife again. "Hi. How's the baby today?"

Heidi looked down at her stomach and chuckled. "Quiet."

He rubbed her belly, and then glared suspiciously up at her. "Hmm, you've been invading my dreams again, haven't you?"

She hid her face in her pillow from embarrassment. Her voice was muffled. "Maybe?"

The empath looked at him and grunted with frustration. "You know I can't help it. People's emotions are...always on."

She sat up. "I can't just flip a switch and turn them off, Bryce!"

He sat up with his wife. "I know! I--!" The man sighed to calm himself. "I know. I'm sorry, honey. I'll try to be more understanding."

"How 'bout we both try? I'll try to ignore them, and you ignore my perfume."

He smirked. "Easier said than done. It burns my nose hairs, like acid. What's in it, garbage?"

"Hey!" She expressed with a smirk

He chuckled again. "But, as far as the perfume thing--not gonna be easy. I am part-wolf, you know."

She smiled seductively and leaned toward him. "Oh, I know."

They kissed passionately. A chime from his HC Receiver alerted the couple. They stopped to listen. It was from Sebastian. "Incoming Message" the robotic voice said: WE'RE APPARENTLY MAKING HISTORY; A TIE BETWEEN MY SON, PETER AND YOUR COUSIN, CJ. SHE'S VERY CONFUSED. IF WE CAN REMEDY THIS, WE'D NEED MORE ASSOCIATES...HOW SOON CAN YOU TWO GET HERE?
