The Bad Girl's Return

Chapter 7: Camp house

A very determined Vera looked back at me. Her eyes showed fear, sadness, and anger all at once. I looked at her with a smirk on my face.

"What made you make up your mind?"

"I have my reasons. What do I have to do?"

"Did he cheat on you?"

Her bottom lip quivered but she kept a straight face. She looked like she would burst into tears any second and I don't know what I would do then.

"It's kind of obvious though. I mean when doesn't he cheat. I learned this the hard way. I won't say anything rude, maybe."

"I just... I feel l-like he doesn't care anymore. Before he used to want to be with me. He suggested a date but now... now he doesn't even text me. Y-yesterday I asked him about it and he told me I was too clingy and that I was turning into another one of 'those' girls. He then told me that nothing between us was serious, he said they were just good times."

She was just spilling her heart out to me in the middle of the hallway and I didn't know what to do. I haven't had to deal with a crying girl. I just pat her back awkwardly as she sobs quietly.

"He didn't appreciate me, I gave him everything. He didn't even ask. I was there for him. You know he actually gave me hope, sometimes... I thought he actaully l... loved me. But I guess I was wrong."

Oh god, I remember when these were my thoughts. Damn was I stupid.

"Don't worry Vera we'll make sure he pays."

During lunch Vera was acting naturally. She was sat on Shawn's lap sending him flirty smiles. Few times she'd look at me and smile and I returned the gesture. I think Shawn thought I was smiling at him because he would wink at me.

Mallory isn't sitting very far away. She talks so long about drama and her arms are just flying around in the air. I recognize the guy beside her, he was my partner in sixth grade, I had to do everything.

"What's up?"

Axel takes the seat beside me. He wears a big smile on his face, it's a bit creepy.

"Not much?" It was more of a question than an answer.

"I don't believe that. I heard you allied with Vera for some revenge."

"Where'd you here that?"

"I was kind of listening to your conversation in the hall. What did Shawn do to you? It's like a complete mystery to me."

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Oh that's cool. Just don't get in trouble. Shawn doesn't really like to be embarrassed or played."

"I know that but you know that's exactly what I'm aiming for."

"Maybe I could help. I hate the guy."

"What did he do to you?"

"He took my girlfriend. My first actual girlfriend. She was nice actually but he just took her."

"Uh-huh. He also blackmaiked me into quitting the football team because he wanted to be the best player or something. But I am the best player."

That's just pathetic. It just shows how he can't do things for hi self. He can't work hard for anything. His parents give him everything sohe doesn't know what earning something is.
