Chapter 12: Brother like Brother

Adam was down here now with a strong smell of cologne. He danced with his friends and drank quite a bit. I had danced with Vera at the beginning but she always gets lost.

"I need a drink. I'll see you later uh..."

"It's Ben."

"Yeah I'll see you later Ben."

I walk off and get a drink. It was hot in here and so crowded. I grabbed a soda and take a couple of drinks. The cold drink going down my throat felt so cool. I walked upstairs and sat down in the hall. My feet hurt and I was feeling sleepy. I stood up and walked around trying to cure my boredom.

"Kimberly hey! Bro I found her."

"Axel how is it going?"

"Alright. I'm superman."

"I can see that."

"Axel suggests we play video games," Adam says.

"Sure."

So we play video games in the middle of a party going on downstairs.

"Adam how can you being the host and this taking place in your house you can be here chilling? I would be scared if they brake anything." I say.

"That's true bro make sure nothing has broken." Adam says to Axel.

"What why me?"

"Thanks."

Axel leaves the room stomping. Adam's clock reads twelve and I have to go.

"I better go. I have to find Vera and drive her home."

I stand up and walk to put my shoes on. Once I am done I grabb my phone from Adam's bed. Adam just sits there and watches me.

"What?"

"You're so beautiful."

"Uh.. thanks. You're kidding right?"

"Nope." He's probably kidding with me.

"Whatever. I'm leaving. See you on Monday."

I begin to walk away but he pulls me back and crashes his lips on to mine. I stand there surprised as he kisses me. I then kiss him back, my hands moving up to his hair. He leans back on his bed and places his hands on my legs.

Our lips move in sync and I swear my stomach flips over. This is my first kiss ever. I never kissed Shawn or anyone ever. His hands travel up my legs slowly. Then the door opens and we hop off of eachother. I fix my dress and wipe my mouth. Adam grabbs his controler and faces the screen.

"Hey guys Dane just took a piss on the neighbor's yard." He pauses and looks at us skeptically. "What happened?"

"What do you mean?"

"There is this awkward aura."

"Nope nothing I have to go, bye."

I walk towards the door looking at Adam smile at me. I walk out and run to find Vera.

I get home at around one in the morning with Vera swinging around my shoulder almost falling. I almost drop her climbing up the stairs but I don't. I drop her down on my bed and I head to the bathroom. I put my hair into a ponytail and wash my face. I hear a thump and when I look in my room, Vera is laying on the floor grunting.

In the morning well in the afternoon when we wake up we eat breakfast. Vera complains about her horrible hangover the whole time. She leaves to her house once she feels better and I stay alone at home messing around. I sit in my room thinking over things and then I get a phone call.
