Chapter 11: Halloween Party

As we shopped for Vera's perfect make up glitter I got lost. I lost Vera and I bought a drink while I was looking for her. I had lost her over twenty minutes ago and I still couldn't find her. I wonder if she even knows that I'm gone.

I sat on a bench kicking my feet. I must have looked like a little kid. I was lost taking small sips from my drink as I look around kicking my feet. I didn't even have her number so I could text her or call her.

I stood up and walked towards a shop that sold all this cool vintage stuff. It was in a corner and it looked a bit empty. I walked in and looked around. It was small but it had tons of things. The stuff was expensive but it was so cool. There where typewriters and feathered pens.

I liked a pocket watch, it was a golden color with a thin small chain. I think it's cool.

"Do you like it?"

Why is Adam here? Does he follow me or something.

"Huh?" I asked.

"The watch?"

"Oh yeah it's... nice."

"What are you doing here? I mean it's normal for a teenage girl like you to be at the mall. But I think you are following me because you seem to just appear wherever I am at."

"Are you sure you aren't following me."

"Yes because it's the other way around."

"No it's not."

"Yes it is."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"You are so childish it's adorable."

"So are you but you make it seem ugly."

"I make childish behavior look ugly?"

"Yes."

"Okay... Anyway what are you doing here?"

"I was going to murder someone in the bathroom. In the mall where it is public."

"Stop with the sarcasm what are you doing here?"

"I ran out of my favorite soap."

"Soap?"

"Yeah. What are you doing here?"

"I was with Vera shopping for a costume but I lost her."

"You're going to that party?"

"Yeah are you?"

"Maybe. What are you going to be?"

"Find out."

"Oh... Kimberly thank god I found you... I thought I lost you. Hi Adam. Sorry we have to go. Bye."

We got ready at my house since my house was empty. My parents are working right now and they won't be back until eight. There were still two hours until the stupid costume party and Vera wanted to get ready already. I just sat on my bed playing video games as she did her hair.

"Get up and shower we don't have all day."

"Not all day but two hours."

"Just go shower because two hours isn't enough."

"Ughhh.... fine."

I shower quickly and put on some shorts and a tee shirt. I dry my hair and wait for Vera to finish her make up. When she finishes she does my hair. She makes a small braid around the back of my head and curls the rest. For my make up she does a smokey eye effect and she puts on really dark red lipstick.
