I moved easily towards the front door, sighing under my breath as another round of knocking sounded from the opposite side of the wooden door. "Hold on," I called to my brother on the other side. I grasped the cool metal in my sweaty palm, before pulling it open and staring at my brother.

Baekhyun was only a few inches taller than me, and his hair that he had taken to dying was currently a faded pink. His lips pulled into a smile and he moved through the open door, engulfing me in a hug. He wore cologne only on certain occasions and apparently, interrupting dinner with my best friend and her boyfriend was one of those occasions. "I missed you!" He said loudly, even though his lips were close enough to my ear for me to hear.

I flinched away from his loud voice, pulling away from and glaring up at him though narrowed eyes. "Baekhyun," I muttered, shrugging his hands off of my shoulders so I could shut the door, "You saw me a few weeks ago."

"I know," He whined, toeing his shoes off before following after me to the dining room, "It's just not the same not having you in my house." Baekhyun stopped his rambling, standing still and looking over my dining room. Morgan and Chanyeol had stopped their hushed whispering to each other to look up at my brother, but Kyungsoo continued his silent eating. "Who are they?" He looked curiously over Kyungsoo and Chanyeol, before he smirked and looked at me. "Is that your boyfriend?" I almost agreed, a spike of irritation causing my lip to quirk up at the edges, before I saw who he was pointing at.

Chanyeol. Chanyeol who's large ears were tinted red at the tips because of the heat of the apartment (Kyungsoo didn't like it being even slightly chilly). Chanyeol who was too preoccupied with swirling his fork in the spaghetti and chuckling softly to himself whenever the sauce slid from the bowl and onto the table to correct my brother's presumption.

"No that's not my boyfriend," I said quickly, before Kyungsoo could interject, and I could tell by the way his sharp jawline moved under his pale skin that he had something to say. "Kyungsoo is." At the mention of his name, Kyungsoo stood from his spot and turned to face my brother. This was the first time they had met, and I felt a slight pang of guilt at having pushed off introductions for so long.

"Ooh," Baekhyun made a sound of interest in the back of his throat, before eyeing Kyungsoo up and down. Baekhyun was only slightly taller than Kyungsoo, and standing face-to-face like they were, you could hardly tell. Kyungsoo didn't seem the least bit interested in Baekhyun, only looking between his face and mine to note of any similarities. "He doesn't seem like your type," Baekhyun mused to me, but it was loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.

On instinct, I slapped Baekhyun's arm causing him to yelp like a kicked puppy and Chanyeol to jump in his seat. Finally, his attention wasn't on the pasta in front of him, but on everyone else in the room. "Baekhyun," I seethed past clenched teeth, "that is Chanyeol. Morgan's boyfriend."I motioned to the startled giant, and I fought the urge to smirk in satisfaction at the blush that now filled Baekhyun's pale cheeks.

"Oh, um," Now flustered, Baekhyun began to twist his thin fingers nervously in front of him, nervous laughter slipping past his lips, "Nice to meet you."

"You too," Chanyeol's deep voice made Baekhyun's eyes widen and his gaze to dart over to Morgan, who's lips were pulled back into a smile. She was enjoying Baekhyun's embarrassment. Baekhyun laughed nervously once more, before grabbing my wrist and dragging me from the room. Kyungsoo called after us, his slightly deep voice making me frown. All I had wanted was a quiet dinner with my best friend and our boyfriends, but Baekhyun had to ruin it.

He shoved me hurriedly into the bathroom, turning on the light before shutting the door behind us. The blush had faded from his cheeks, and his lips that only slightly resembled mine, were pulled back into a smirk. "So," Baekhyun mused, leaning his upper body against the thin bathroom door, crossing his legs at the ankles, "Kyungsoo huh?"

"Yeah," I challenged back, crossing my arms over my chest and frowning at him, "Kyungsoo. What about it?"

Baekhyun shrugged, his lips pouting out slightly. His dark chocolate eyes flickered from me to the a spot on the ceiling above me. "He doesn't seem like your type," he mused, repeating the statement that had slipped carelessly from his throat moments earlier. I sighed heavily, uncrossing my arms and sitting at the edge of the tub.

Though I hated to admit it, Baekhyun's acceptance over things like this meant the world to me. But now wasn't the time to be sappy and beg him to assess my boyfriend and tell me what he thought, no, he ruined dinner so he was going to get an attitude. "What is my type Baek? Since you know everything," I sneered, leaning my elbows on my knees, and placing my head in my palms, looking up at him.

Baekhyun mocked me in a high pitched voice, before he moved to sit beside me on the toilet. He leaned back against the back of the toilet and let out a breathy sigh. "Ya know," His voice softened, and his gaze remained locked on the ceiling, "something like Sehun."

My body tensed at the mention of my ex, and I clenched my jaw. It had been over a year since I had heard anything from him, and was bordering on two years since I had last seen him. Sehun was still a wound that had not yet healed though. "Something like Sehun?" I chuckled dryly, glaring at the side of Baekhyun's head. His brown hair was mused, but still looked nice.

"Tall. Broad shoulders, ya know, like that Chanyeol guy." My eyes widened and I shot up from where I had been sitting on the side of the tub. I had forgotten all about the trip we had left out in the dining room. I rushed forward, before stumbling over Baekhyun's outstretched legs.

"Hey!" I shouted, turning around quickly to glare at my brother, who shrugged innocently. He stood smoothly from the toilet seat, reaching around me and opening the bathroom door and ushering me out. I grumbled complaints under my breath until we reached the dining room, where I slid into my respective seat beside Kyungsoo. He gripped my hand in his, the warmth of his palm making mine clammy. I resisted the urge to pull my hand from his grip and wipe them on the thighs of my pants.

Baekhyun grabbed a spare chair, pulled it to the head of the table before seating himself down, placing his elbow on the table and his chin in his palm. He looked at me once, before his gaze shifted to Morgan and Chanyeol. Morgan was eating respectively, but Chanyeol still seemed set on making a mess of the pasta. "So," Baekhyun practically purred, "how long have you two been together?"

Morgan finished the bite of pasta in her mouth, before she swallowed it and licked the red sauce from her lips. She looked drolly at my brother, her lips lifted slightly at the edges in a smile. "Not too long, two months or so." She spun her fork around in her bowl, trying to get Baekhyun's attention off of her.

No such luck.

His persistent questions continued well into the pasta turning cold and our tummies filling up. They only halted once Chanyeol and Morgan left, insisting that the next dinner meet up was on them, and I could see the silent threat in Morgan's eyes as she got ready to leave. Next time, there was to be no Baekhyun present.
