Megumi*
Confused by Guren's request, I sat puzzled as the rest of his squad was confused too.
"Me...join the...army? Why would I do that?"
"Well what better plan do you have for yourself then?" Guren questioned.
Biting my lower lip, I spoke loud enough for all of them to hear me. "I...I want to go find Yuichiro and Mika!"
Guren stared at me for a couple of seconds. He then rested his hands on his hips and leaned over to me with a grin. "I guarantee you that if you join the Moon Demon Company; you will find your friends."
My ears delighted by those comforting words, I thought for a moment, turning away from him. "Is that all I'm joining you for?"
"I'd like you to join because I love family. And on the other hand, we're running out of men so we need to rally up some more anyways."
I glanced at him at the corner of my eye. He looked intrigued, hoping without a doubt that I'd say yes.
"Well...I guess it's alright then..."
"Excellent." Guren clapped. "Norito, please take Megumi to the school."
"T-The school?!" I stammered.
"You're going to start off just like all the other kids here." Guren spoke. "You need to make at least one friend before coming here."
"W-W-What?! You just told me to join the army and now I gotta make reimburse by means of this, to you?!"
"Basically, yeah."
Angered by my foolishness of not catching on, Norito took me up by hand and let go of me, walking ahead. "Let's go. It's not that hard to make a friend anyways."
Upon arriving at the school, which was on at the main building, Norito stood in front of the door waiting for me to catch up. I held my arm with my right, nervously walking along.
"Don't be scared of anyone here. As far as it goes, everyone here is in the same boat, so we all got to go through with this."
"Why do I even need this?"
"How can you say that you're a family person if you're not willing to bring others into it?"
Astounded by those words, I said no more. "The only family I actually had was Ferid..." I murmured.
Norito then walked into the door with me following behind.
"Good morning kids. We have a new student here, named Ai Megumi. She prefers you to call her Megumi, so please respect that."
I rolled my eyes as a slight grin tugged at my lips.
"Also, the meeting for training will be executed at 4 this afternoon." Looking at me, he pushed me along gently. "Go on, no one here is going to bite."
Reluctantly, I walked around to go find an empty seat. Everyone stared at me as I quickly sat in my seat and kept my hands concealed in my uniform.
"Alright, that's all." Norito left the room, and the noise within the classroom continued.
I sat at my desk for a couple of minutes by the window, and stared outside observing the chaotic scenery of the outside world. I was tapped on the shoulder by a boy who looked to be at least sixteen years old. He had blonde hair and blue eyes, just like Mikaela. His face was lit up like as if today was the most sunniest and enthusiastic day of the year. Okay, he wasn't that eager, but he did have a beautiful smile...it made me feel as if I was by a waterfall, relaxing and consuming the soothing chills of its wetness.
