Yuichiro*
We were side tracked. Being that it had snowed, and the way things were looking, it might take us several more days to arrive at Shinjuku. Roads were blocked, the streets were icy, bridges fell, it's seriously a hot mess.
"Well, now what?" I sighed, sitting on the brink of the broken bridge.
Mikaela stood gazing far ahead. "Let me carry you over."
"Huh? Are you sure you wanna do that? We can just go around-"
"-We don't have enough time." Mika argued.
I groaned standing on my two feet, and allowed Mika to lift me up. He leapt across the broken bridge to the other side. Setting me on my feet, I dust my clothes off and scanned the area around us. "There doesn't really seem to be much to gaze around here. I guess there are no wars going on."
"That's good. We don't have to worry about being attacked then."
"I can't argue with that." Strolling down the bumpy and disfigured path, we came across these apartment complexes. We went inside the abandoned building, finding some apartment door open on the second floor.
Walking inside, it appeared to look decent enough to stay in.
I checked the living room as Mika checked the other rooms to see if anyone was still around.
"No one seems to be here." Mika informed.
"That's good to know...as sad as it sounds."
Mika stretched and yawned, rubbing his eye.
"Perhaps we should rest for the night before we continue?"
"You always want to rest." Mika said.
I arched an eyebrow, watching him lie on the couch. I then sat on the ground and stretched all over it.
"I wonder if we will find Megumi in Shinjuku." I said.
"She better be there."
I sat up leaning on my forearms, slightly turning to face him. "And what if she's not?"
Mika exhaled, resting his arms behind his head on the couch. "I guess I'll just have to keep looking."
"You mean, we."
"That's if, you want to come, that is."
"Of course I do. Family sticks together!"
"You have a new one though."
"Mika, you were my first family, I wouldn't give that up for the world."
"You gave it up for them."
"You were killed."
"I came back."
"You left."
"I had no choice."
The still silence filling the air, I groaned and flipped over on the carpet. "I missed you..." I cried.
Mika looked at me at an angle, not wanting to smile. "Well, I missed you more."
"So you gotta miss OUR new family too!"
"Huh?!" Mika jumped back on the couch.
"If they're my family, then they're yours too." I said as I got up walking to his face. "And family sticks together. You got that I questioned, with pointed my finger at him.
"Don't yell at me like a child!" Mika stood up, directing his finger back at me.
"You nag like one Mika!"
