Ai stood at the ledge of a high structure in the fallen city. She could hear the named of Yuchiro and Mikaela howling in her ears from the wind. The breeze flushed through her soft hair.

Ferid walked up behind her with a creepy grin on his face. A hand on his waist, he stood by her. "What are you thinking about?"

"I want to see them again." She admitted.

Ferid chuckled. "That can happen. You can always find them."

"But how?" Ai wondered. "After that day, I never even bothered asking them where they'd be."

"Don't worry about that." Ferid assured. "I'll send a team to find them for you."

Shocked, Ai shot a glance at the Noble. "But what if Yuchiro and the others think that those vampires are there to attack them?"

"I'll be sure to tell them not to attack, but to tell you where they're hiding."

"M-Me?" Ai stammered.

"Of course!" Ferid spun around, pressing his right red earring between his thumb and index finger. He released them, and kept his hands on his waist. "Send out a troop. Look for the ex-Moon Demon Company. They left Nagoya about three weeks ago. Yes. They should more likely be heading North-East... that's around Tokyo. Alright. That will be fine." Ferid sighed, clapping his hands once. "These people, asking so many questions."

Ai kneeled, close to her death, but far from the ground. She looked down at the ground, seeing tiny figures move around. "Those nobles...why are they down there?"

"Well, just because a fragment of our enemies left doesn't mean that we stop fighting." Ferid informed.

Ai knew that Ferid was speaking of Yuchiro and the others, and stood, walking away to the other edge of the building. "Are you sure I'll meet them again?" Ai asked once more.

"Why do you doubt me, my precious Megumi?" Ferid grinned.

"Who are you?" Ai questioned.

"Pardon me?" Ferid arched an eyebrow, still tucking at the side of his mouth. "Is that a rhetorical question?"

Ai shrugged, turning her face ninety degrees toward him with a glare. Amused, Ferid chuckled even more. "My, why, I'm Ferid Bathory!" He announced arms spread wide.

"Of course you are. But who are you deep down inside?" Ai emphasized.

Ferid realized the stern tone in her voice. He closed his eyes, looking up at the sky. "I'm a man who merely looks out for my own cravings."

Just as she expected.

"Or is that what you wanted me to say?" Ferid probed.

Ai's eyes lit up. She spun around, as her eyes darted past Ferid. An enemy was spotted, pointing a gun at them.

Ferid cocked body dodging the bullet. The bullet charged at Ai to her surprise. She countered the bullet, rolling across the roof with her beautiful dress unharmed. Another bullet was sent in Ferid's direction, but to no result, still missed.

"Damn!!!" The Imperial soldier gritted his teeth. He then shot a bullet one more time in Ai's direction. Ai tried to escape the bullet, but another one was sent in her direction at the same time. She trips, tumbling forward. In slow motion she saw the second bullet approach her face. Ferid snatched Ai by her waist and flew off the office building.

Ferid's face didn't appear to be faltered or wavered. Ai looked up at Ferid, holding him around his neck. Landing safely, he settled her on her feet and patted her head. "Did that answer your question?"
