You walked into your apartment setting down box after box. Your little brother was helping you but more like complaining how it was too hot out to be doing this and how he should be playing video games with his friends instead of helping you even though you had helped him after he moved out of the house. You were tired of hearing it, so you waved your hand and gestured for him to do whatever with the little couch you had and for him to just play on his phone until you had finished bringing the boxes up. You were down by the moving truck when the young girl with the bright pink hair came running over to greet and welcome you to the building. She explained how she lived in the apartment across the hall from yours and confessed to saying how she was peeping into your open room through the small crack she had in the door. She said how she saw your brother in the kitchen unpacking a box of plates and bowls but didn't offer to help due to the fact she would look a little strange just walking in and helping. She said that he was listening to music and dancing around in circles singing along to the band which was probably a girl band or something, she said she knew a few of the songs but barely. You just rolled your eyes, thanked the girl for welcoming you in then grabbed two boxes filled with books and movies, records and cd's. You were going to use your computer to watch the movies and you still had your record player at your girlfriends so, you needed a new one. You planned on hooking up the rest of your electronics and setting up your new accounts for everything later tonight while you got a pizza from down the street. Thinking about the food, your stomach growled. As you were walking up the stairs, the girl was saying things about herself. Her name was Adeline, she was nineteen years old and she worked odd jobs that needed someone to speak in Italian. When you told her that you were planning on being some part of the law, she stiffened up and a look passed her face like she was purely scared out of her mind. You chuckled and put your hand on her shoulder just laughing, you said that you actually hated cops and that you were the exact opposite of a perfect person. You gave her a small grin as you nudged her shoulder and she smiled up at you. As you finally got to your apartment, you looked at your brother and rolled your eyes as you saw him still singing. You set the boxes down and peeled off your hot shirt throwing it at him and chuckling. As he grabbed it a shot rang out and Adeline fell to the ground, her pink hair was getting stained with crimson blood and she fell to the ground right in the door of your apartment. You quickly grabbed out a pocket knife out of your pocket and looked around trying to find the shooter but not being able to, you just grabbed the shirt from your brother and pressed it into the back of her head feeling around for her pulse. You yelled for your brother to call the cops and held the shirt against her still bleeding head, there were almost small feelings building for her, but now it was all over.
