Everything was going too fast. The room was spinning. Her head felt like static. Her heart was pounding inside of her chest harder than what a drummer was ever able to produce. Ember was pacing back and forth in front of the door blocking my way. I was sitting on the edge of the bed holding my head in my hands, my elbows down onto my knees. My shirt is ripped and my pants were only unzipped. Ember was yelling at me about my way of thinking. Thinking. He was telling me that if I were to be normal, we wouldn't be having problems with work. Ember flipped and threw a chair right past me and it smashed against the wall. I closed my eyes tight and he started yelling at me in a different way.

"I know what you do every day when you get home! You go to the bathroom, look at yourself and cry! Every single time you cry and you act like a little bitch!" Ember screamed down at me before he stormed to me and grabbed my wrists out from under my head. He yanked me up from the bed and started to shake me. "Why the fuck are you so weak?!" He yelled and tossed me down to the ground. "You know people can see how dead you are inside?! You little fucking bitch!" He screamed and brought his foot back. It was going to hit me in the ribs. I rolled up onto my hands and knees before he could follow through. "You're so worthless I have no reason to keep you around you stupid whore!" He yelled before he grabbed me by the hair, brought me up to his face and spat on me. My eyes were closed and I knew he was going to do something else. He threw me against the wall the chair broke on and I began to cry. I heard the door open before it slammed shut and a picture fell off the wall.

"I am worthless. I am dead inside. I am everything you call me." I whispered to myself. We were in a hotel room since we were out of town. I shook my head as the tears flowed down my cheeks. I knew my face was hot and that my breathing was too fast. I kept shaking my head before I walked over to the cheap mirror that was above the sink. I stared at my green eyes and my voice cracked as I tried to suck in every small bit of air I could. I start to shake my head again before I drag my hands through my hair and throw my fist into the mirror making it shatter.

I'm crying so hard that my chest was bouncing as everything started shaking again. I start knocking things down, the towel racks got yanked down and thrown to the ground. I screamed to the top of my lungs out in pain as my head tilted back. I kept screaming before I start to shout about how he was right. I grabbed a lamp that was close to me and as I curled my hand around it, I threw it at the door. I kept screaming as his words went through my head. They weren't in the way that he said them, yelling. They were whispers. As if he was sitting next to me and rubbing my knee and slowly going up my leg. Whispering those things into my ear. I kept crying.

'Why are you so weak?' the voice whispered. I grab the television off of the dresser and threw it down to the ground. Standing on top of it, I slam my foot into it over and over again screaming out as I do so. My voice was starting to run thin.

'You're worthless Maxine. You. Are. Worthless.' The voice said again into my ear. I grabbed the second lamp off of the dresser and smashed it down onto the ground. A glass shard went into my foot. My hand has been bleeding from the mirror break.

'Everyone can see that you're dead inside. Its obvious that you are just a slut who wants to die.' The voice spoke and with my last scream, it was his name. Falling into the glass and the mess of metal from the television, I could feel every little bit of my skin open up. I keep crying and screaming out even though no one was coming. Ember was gone. I'm alone.
