Furnin heads back to tell Suna everything he did. On the way back he notices the guards were pulling the unconscious thugs out from the alleyway. Furnin decides not to explain that he'd been the cause of thier unconsciousness. And continues walking down the main road towards the dorms. He then realizes that this band of thugs seem to have a hold on this city, he just hopes his recent interference in thier business doesn't come back to bite him He arrives at the dorms but realizes it's late and wonders if he should go to her dorm room at this hour. After a few moments he decides to at least check on her first. A few estranged glares from a few of the girls heading back to thier own dorm rooms at the bruised hands dirtied up furnin heading up through the girls dorms hall. He finds himself at Suna's room and knocks. A few moments later a half dressed Suna opens the door to Furnin's surprise.
She exclaims, " Furnin! What the heck are you doing! Coming to the girls dorms at this hour?" She then hides herself behind the door embarrassed.
Furnin looks away and says, "I just wanted to make sure you made it back safely."
"Oh, well yeah I did, thank you." She replied with a much softer tone after a moment of awkward silence she then asks, "did you help out Mr. Drakil? "
Furnin replies still not looking at suna," yeah a lot in fact, I'll explain it all to you in the morning, night suna."
Furnin began to leave but was shocked when he was hugged from behind.
"Thank you , honestly I'm happy you checked up on me, I'm not even close to feeling okay right now. But thank you for being such a good friend." Suna said as she hugged tightly and then left hurriedly back to her room and shut the door.
'Bashful as always' furnin thought to himself, 'like I'm any better'
Furnin made his way to his dorm across the side road. He walked into his dorm room and began taking his robe off then started to get into his bed when he notices a woman staring at him from a chair in the corner of the room.
"Oh yeah, I forgot for a second you were in my room." Furnin said while slapping his forehead.
He got up out of the bed and luina eyed furnin in his tunic and pants. More skin visible now that his robes were off. Furnin grabbed his robes and put them back on covering up the small amount of scarred skin that showed.
He then said to luina, "you can have the bed again, I'll sleep on the floor again." Furnin then began putting a makeshift bed out of the discarded clothes from the night before.
Luina said, " I'll sleep there this time, you sleep on the bed, it's your bed anyways."
Furnin says argumentatively, "no you sleep in the bed, your technically my guest so the guest gets special treatment, besides like I said before there are worse things than sleeping on the floor."
Luina grunted then said, "you have saved my life in more ways than one. Please sleep on your bed, I'll sleep on the floor. It's where someone like me belongs anyways."
Furnin in his half asleep stupor said, "hey what do you mean by that?"
Luina looked down at the floor and said, "just that someone as worthless as me doesn't deserve such kindness."
Furnin approached luina sighed then said as he put his hand on her shoulder," you are not worthless, everyone deserves kindness they just often are not given it." He then proceeded to laying on his makeshift bed if clothes on the floor.
Seeing as she hadn't moved furnin said, "the bed." He pointed at the bed and had a stern look.
Luina protested but slowly moved to the bed and laid down in it, a sad look on her face.
Furnin was out in a matter of minutes drifted into a very vivid dream. A warning dream. Most was incomprehensible but from what he did see it seems as though he'd better be on guard. Something about a shadow, a strange door, and suna in pain. He woke up in a sweat. He eyed the window it was still dark out. Furnin thought to himself as he rubbed his tired eyes 'What a dream, I wonder what that was about' he then proceeded to lie back down.
Meanwhile at the mercenary guild hall the ridiculous Dorfam Solux is headed out late at night his mission, to seek out trouble out of boredom.
Dorfam walks down the main road towards the eastern gate whistling a tune. He spots a few patrolling guards as he's walking then turns off the main road into an alleyway. He overheard a poor soul who came into the guild hall earlier that day that Corduns Gang was shaking his tiny fish stall in the lower east quarter. So the bored, itching for a fight, Dorfam thought it would be worth checking out.
Dorfam walks into the clearing of the eastern lower quarters courtyard where the man's fish stall and notices a scene taking place. Three armed men one busting up the wooden stall, one holding a woman by the hair on the ground, and the other fixing to swing at the poor man from earlier.
Dorfam reacts quickly drawing his two handed broadsword and sprinting at the man about to murder the poor man. With a yell he distracts the man's attention and instead of finishing his murderous swing turns to face the yelling Dorfam. As Dorfam gets close he readies a vicious swing coming down from above and as he swings he brings down the sword with such force the thug is unable to block it as it forces the thug's own blade into his skull with a thud. The one holding the girl's hair drops the girl and lunges at Dorfam from his right. Dorfam brings up his broadsword like it was so light and parries the thugs mace shear out of the scrawny thugs hands cutting him across the chest becuase of the sheer length of Dorfam's sword. The thug drops to the ground clutching his deep wound in agony. The last thug who was busting up the stall turns tail and runs.
Dorfam says, " oh no you dont." And then with an overhand swing throws his giant sword and impaled the cowardly thug.
Dorfam walks over to the impaled thugs body and thrusts his sword out of the thugs body. He then swings his broadsword through the air cleaning most of the blood off of the blade. Then spits on the body of the thug and says, "worthless filth."
The poor fish stall man says to the stocky savior, "thank you, I am forever in your debt."
Dorfam throws his hand out after sheathing his blade and shakes the man's hand and smiles, "no thanks needed friend, I was itching for battle and these fools provided folly."
The poor man looks puzzled by Dorfam's words. Dorfam holds out his hand towards the woman and says, "are you hurt miss?"
She doesn't say anything but takes his hand. Dorfam doesn't wait any longer he begins to leave the area still itching for a fight he turns and says to them both, "you should probably go get some guards, just in case they come back." Then leaves towards the mid lower quarter.
Once he reaches the mid lower quarter he notices quite a few members of Corduns Gang of delinquents surrounding a building, as Dorfam gets a closer look he figures there must be at least 30 armed hoodlums. Normally Dorfam wouldn't think twice about charging in but Dorfam remembered his obligation to a contract with a certain man named Furnin. So his death wish antics will just have to be quelled for now.
