Chapter 2

I was in an awakening drift when the horrid feeling my stomach churning brutally awoke me. I lay with my eyes open for a moment feeling the painful rhythm of my forehead throb. Raising my hand, i laid it over my forehead and when it came in contact i felt the heat and layer of sweat that had gathered over night. I tilted my head up, dropping it immediately from the rush my head received increasing the pain everywhere else. Whipping the cover open i felt a relief of air sweep over my body but a sharp pain in my upper stomach causing me to curl up almost instantly, i winced at the ongoing pain and began shedding tears to the point of silent sobs.

"Babe, you okay?" I heard Liams groggy morning voice question. He laid almost right next to me but he was under the thick layer of the white duvet. He had been holding me close through the night as always but i asked him to scoot over since i was starting to feel hot and bothered. When i didn't answer and continued silently sobbing, he pushed down the cover and peeped his head up, rubbing his eyes with his fists to get a clear view of me.

"Aw babe what's wrong." He cooed sitting up and scooting closer to me. He passed a hand through my hair and then placed his hand on my forehead.

"Wow, you're burning up" he mumbled."

"Do you want a cuppa? it'll make you feel better."

I shook my head, dealing with the pain that came with it. "I have to go to work." I said through sniffles looking at him. His eyes widened and he shook his head.

"Mia look at how you are right now, and you want to go to work?"

"I don't have anymore vacation days, i used them up for the days you had off of the tour." I croaked whilst trying to sit up.

"This isn't a vacation babe, don't you guys have sick days?"

I shook my head no and tried to get out of bed but made no progress so Liam slipped out from under the cover and came around to helped me to my feet.

"Do you really, really have to go to work?" He asked, his eyebrows curling in sadness.

" i would probably loose my job if i didn't."

He sighed, "ok but let me at least help you get ready, you can barely make it on your feet."

He carefully adjusted my arms over his neck and took me into the bathroom, sitting me down on the toilet seat. He turned the nobs of the bath of allowing the water to run. I didn't protest saying i could take a quick bath myself but in all honesty i could barely keep myself steady on the toilet seat.

He tested the water with his fingers a few times before facing me and pulling off the grey shirt i was wearing that belonged to him. He helped me undress and then supported my body as i slowly stepped into the cool bath so i didn't slip. The water felt refreshing and toned down the furious symptoms that were going on in my body.

He left the bathroom for a moment then came back with a plastic container. He scooped the water into the container then poured it over my head instantly relieving most of the pain in my head. I grabbed the red loofa and squirted body wash on it, taking my time time soap up my body. Liam was squatting keeping a careful eye on me an rinsed off the soap with the container and shut off the water. He retrieved my towel and handed it to me when he saw how the bath had actually helped me regain a bit of my energy. I dried off walking into the bedroom where Liam now was slipping on a pair of black basketball shorts with a red strip going down the side and a black hoodie with an Adidas logo in the center.

"What are you doing?" I asked as i dropped the towel searching for undergarments.

"I'm gonna take you to work"
