•Overhears Mia talking to the belly

Chapter 17

-Liam's Pov-

I rub my head deeper into my pillow hoping to nuzzle back into oblivion but something keeps my body from falling back to sleep for an hour longer, maybe two. I am about to groan aloud, signaling Mia to stop mumbling or speak, whatever she's doing, but I stop myself once i hear her.

"Everyone is so excited to see you, your aunties and uncles, and especially your nan and grandpa, they are extra nice. i'm sure they'll spoil you." she chuckles at the end of her words. I peak my head out slightly from the thick white covers and the lights blinds my eyes momentarily before they adjust and i see Mia sat up against the headboard, hands rubbing her swollen belly.

"They're gonna buy you so much clothing, i can bet they've already started shopping for you. Oh and your so big, you keep moving more and more everyday and I can't wait to see you. I know that won't be for a while but we'll be waiting for you. Oh, and your daddy is so excited, he cannot wait for you to come home so he can teach you all those boyish things."

She's smiling so brightly, it almost brings tears to my eyes but instead laughter bubbles from my mouth, slightly jagged and raspy from it being the first thing i say in the morning.

Her eyes widen but she isn't scared, instead she laughs along shoving my shoulder playfully. I want to grab her by the hand and tug her under the covers with me, and tickle her, and hug her tightly but i can't because the baby so I simply prop myself up on my elbows and lean sideways to kiss her belly.

"You've been listening in, haven't you?" she questions me and a smudge smirk appears on my face.

"maybe..."

Mia just shakes her head not minding it, she leans down to interlock her lips with mine for a moment before pulling away.

"teach you all those boyish things." i recall, teasing her.

"Liam!" she whines pushing me away again but this time i don't let it happen, sliding her closer to me. She pretests at first but then gives up after it's more than noticeable she won't win.

"you know i love you" reassure her, before kissing her again.

hey guys sorry it's so short i just wanted to do a quick update since i haven't in a while. The niall pg will obviously have to be delayed because i took two to three weeks off from updating and I'm now behind on my planned schedule. so i think i might just finish this book, take a break then begin the Niall one. Sound good? I'll probably upload one tomorrow night or Monday. Depends on how many votes, comments and reads i get :)
