It has been about a year and a half since Lucy's magic out break. Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel have all been sent to Earthland. Their memories of each other gone forever. Lucy has forgotten all about her out break, and her friends.

Sting and Rogue are hidden away on Earthland. A dragon protects them. As they sleep they are forgetting everything they once knew.

Lucy has never felt lonely, but has no idea why. She knows something is missing. She knows that there are missing pieces in her life. She now sitting by her window in her room.

But, not in her castle, in her mansion. The one were children used to play all day. Lucy is now nine years old. She doesn't speak to her father anymore. Ever since she came to Earthland a year ago he has hated her ever since.

But, Lucy has no memories of the past. The real past. She was given fake memories when she came to Earthland.

One's with out Sting or Rogue. One's with out a laughing child with long blue hair. One's with out two dim wits fighting all the time.

Her memories are instead replaced with one's of loneliness. Playing with her mother. Roaming the Mansion gardens.

But, no friends.

Lucy is about lose something. Her so called 'picture perfect' life is about to turn up side down. Layla was 'dying'. At least to everyone else. The dragon council told Layla she had to come back.

The kingdom needed her. Layla said she wanted Lucy to come back, but the council refused. Lucy couldn't come back till Sting and Rogue were awake and had left. They had 5 more months.

And then Lucy would be ten, and Sting, Rogue, Yukino, and Hisui would be three just like they had been a year and half ago. And then Lucy would meet the two little girls when they turn five. Just like all the other kids their memories replaced with ones that were fake.

A once perfect world turned dark.

"Mom!! Please don't go!!" Lucy cried as she held her mother's hand in her own two. Tears were streaming down her red cheeks.

Layla smiled at her daughter. She wished she could tell her daughter that she'd come back for her very soon...

"It'll be okay Lucy...I promise..." Layla said. She gave Lucy a soft smile. She hated to do this to her own child. "Mommy...please please stay..." Lucy cried.

"Lucy....please don't cry I'll see you soon...I promise...." Layla said as she took her 'final' breath. 'Mom!!!!!" Lucy cried as tears streamed down her cheeks.

The maids came in and dragged Lucy away from her mother. Her screams for her mother faded as she pulled down the hall to her room. Lucy cried for three days straight. Her mother the only parent that loved her.

About a week later a funeral was held. Lucy cried her heart out, as did her father. A angel was placed on Layla's grave. Lucy was broken.

Her mother was gone. She was left with nothing. No father. No mother. Nothing.

Soon after Jude began to ignore Lucy. He wanted nothing to do with her. But, on the inside he was fighting a force he knew he could never defeat in time, to help Lucy.

Lucy began to keep quite when her father was near. She began obeying the rules. She always ate alone. Her father never looked her in the eye.

Lucy was no longer Lucy.

Dear Dairy,

It's been so lonely since mom left. I miss her so much. She was my light in this dark place. And now I'm alone.
