I glanced up at the sound of the door opening. Kade walked in with a big grin on his face. "Nice to see you again, Eden," Kade immediately greeted with a warming smile. I rolled my eyes at him.
She smiled. "Nice to see you again too, Kade," she politely responded.
With a quick glance at the clock, I turned to Eden in confusion. "Don't you have a first block?"
She shook her head. "No, I have planning first." She glanced awkwardly at Kade and then back to me. "I'm just going to go and make sure I have everything ready for my first class."
I nodded and called out "bye" just as Kade did. I turned to him and rolled my eyes at him again as he took the seat on the bench in front of me. "Do you know if Bel has a boyfriend?" He took a deep breath before spitting out.
"What?" I growled, partly in shock and partly irritated at the words that came out of his mouth. Surely he wasn't implying what I thought he was implying.
"Bel, the girl you mentor or whatever it's called," he reminded me as if I didn't already know. "I was just walking her to class and I-"
"What the fuck?" I interrupted, cutting him off. "Why were you walking her to class?"
"I just ran into her outside, so I thought 'hey, what the heck, she's hot'-" Kade continued on, completely oblivious to my growing temper. "So does she or does she not?"
"What the fuck are you talking about now?" I asked, not even bothering to follow along with his idiotic idea. Izzy was mine.
"Bel," he spoke slowly as he would to a child which just pissed me off even more. "Does she have a boyfriend or not?"
"I'm dating her you son of a bitch," I growled.
"Oh," he muttered. It was obvious that that was the last thing he expected me to say. He seemed pretty defeated for a minute as he looked down. However, he was lifting his head back up in no time. "Isn't that illegal?" He smirked.
"Shut up." I pushed him off the bench when he started laughing. I couldn't help but laugh with him. He was such an idiot.
However, he suddenly just stopped laughing as he got to his feet. "Shit," he cursed, not meeting my eyes.
"What?" I asked suspiciously. I was beginning to become unsure if I want to know or not. He wasn't exactly looking like he had some good news to tell me.
"I may have said something to Bel, but let's just remember that I was under the impression that you two weren't dating," he cautiously stated, putting his hands up as if I was about to attack him. I couldn't exactly say I blamed him for that one. I probably didn't look like the most friendliest of guys at the moment. "When did you two start dating anyways?" Kade asked, completely losing focus.
"That is beside the point," I threw my hands up. This guy was literally about to die if he didn't start talking, and it would be completely his fault. "Kade, what did you say?"
He sighed. "Well, Captain, I may have said something about how I maybe sorta kinda thought that maybe you and Eden may possibly still have a slight attraction to each other." I had a maybe sorta kinda feeling that he was paraphrasing.
I raised an eyebrow. "Really? Those were your exact words?"
"Well," he glanced around, "I may have mentioned a couple of other things."
I crossed my arms and stared him down. "And what would those other things be?" I was going to get the truth out of him if it took all day. However, I had to attend a meeting in the auditorium in twenty minutes, so it would be great if we could just wrap this up.
