After saying goodbye to Mason, I headed back to my room to help Natalie get ready for her date. After I made my way to our building, I pulled off my heals and hurried up the stairs to our room. Natalie had only a little over an hour until her date, so it was crunch time already.
Natalie had just got out of the shower by the time I got there. I grabbed me a banana and a water for a quick snack and headed into my room to change before heading over to help her get ready. I pulled on a pair of cutoff blue jean shorts that ended right below my butt. I grabbed a loose white sheer tank top and a black bra tube top to go underneath it. I pulled my hair up into a messy ponytail and headed back to Natalie's room.
She was currently standing in her closet wearing her bathrobe. She turned to me with a nervous expression on her face. "Please help me decide what to wear," she begged. "I want to look cute, but I also want to stay conservative. Not that I have anything in my closet that's not conservative."
"Okay," I muttered, scanning through her clothes. Natalie had a ton of cute clothes. They weren't really my style, but she really could pull them off while looking modest and cute at the same time.
"I'm here!" Makayla exclaimed, running into the room breathless.
"Why are you so out of breath?" Natalie asked, curiously.
"I just ran. . . all the. . . all the way. . . from. . . the. . . the cafeteria." She was gasping for breath just trying to get the sentence out.
"Okay, sweetie," Natalie lead her to a chair, so she could sit down, "just sit here and catch your breath."
I rolled my eyes at Makayla. She should have known she was too out of shape to run that far. I went back to scanning through Natalie's clothes, finally deciding on an outfit. "How about this?" I held up a knee length pink and navy blue striped skirt and a white button up sleeveless blouse.
Natalie grinned with excitement. "Yes, that's perfect!" She exclaimed. She grabbed the outfit and headed into the bathroom to change.
"You better have shaved your legs!" I yelled after her. I could hear her laughing in the bathroom. "So," I turned to Makayla, "why did you run all the way from the cafeteria?"
Makayla had finally got her breath back. "I was down in the cafeteria eating, then I remembered Nat's date, so I took off running to come and help her get ready."
I didn't have a chance to respond to Makayla. Natalie walked out of the bathroom, and let me just say, I did pretty darn good. The skirt was actually shorter than she normally wore them. It hit the top of her knee as opposed to the bottom of the knee or longer where her skirts usually hit. "Is this okay?" She asked nervously, tugging her skirt down. "You don't think it's too short?"
I looked down at my shorts that barely covered my ass and turned to look at Makayla's shorts which came a little over halfway down to her knees. "I not be the best judge of that, but honey, I think you'll be okay."
She nodded and took the towel off her head. She started to dry her hair, and Makayla and I headed into the kitchen. My belly growled, and I groaned, knowing the banana wasn't enough to fill me up. "I've already ate, but do you want me to fix you something?" Makayla asked.
"Please," I begged, "I'm starving." Normally, this would be the time where the person would politely decline the offer and get off their ass and fix them something themselves, but I could not cook to save my life. I literally caught macaroni and cheese on fire during our first week here. That's the moment where Natalie and Makayla decided that I wasn't allowed to cook or bake.
