I woke up to a pale golden light coming in from my window wall. I groaned and rubbed my eyes, trying to get rid of the sleepiness. I glanced around the large room, hoping to see something to keep me busy for the day, not wanting to get in Odin's way. A soft knock on my door made me stand up quickly and rush over to allow the person in. "Hello?" I asked as I moved the heavy gold door.
"Good morning, oh, did I wake you?" Thor stood on the other side of the door, dressed in his usual armor with a blue cloak draped around his shoulders.
"No, I've been up for a while." I said and waved him inside. He walked in and sat on one of the couches in the center of my room. "Plans for today?" I asked while opening my closet.
"Umm, yes actually. I have training and Odin wanted to speak to you." He said back quietly.
My heart stopped beating when he said that. "What?" I said in disbelief. "W-why does he want to talk to me?"
"You have no reason to worry, I wont let him do anything." Thor stood up and walked over to me, stopping in the doorway.
I took a deep breath. "ok, what do I wear?"
"Anything." He smiled and walked into the closet, stopping by a pale blue dress. "This one." He points.
"Alright." I smiled at him, taking the dress from the hook. "Ill be right back out." I walk out of the closet and into the bathroom to get ready.
It took about twenty minutes for me to get ready. I brushed my hair and pulled it back into a half braid. My makeup was done naturally and my black flats covered my feet rather than heels. Thor and I were headed to the throne room, his hand wrapped around mine and fear running through my veins. "You are going to be alright." Thor assured, squeezing my hand.
"Did I do something?"
"No, it is my doing that caused him to be angry." We stopped outside the large door set.
"Ok." I whispered and looked at the design on the door.
"Look at me," He begged softly. "Please?" I looked over to him and his blue eyes shined down at me. "No matter what happens in there, you will always be the most important thing in my life. You understand?" I nodded. He wrapped his arms around me, holding me in a hug. "No matter what, I'll love you."
I couldn't help the stupid happy smile that grew on my face. He said those three words I have been dying to hear from him. "I love you too." I said happily, pressing a kiss to his lips. I pulled away and laughed quietly, trying to hide the blush on my cheeks.
"Lady Jordan?" a guard asked from the open doors beside us.
I jumped but turned to him. "Yes?" I asked, my smile dropping from my face.
"The All-Father is ready for you." The guard steps aside and glances at Thor.
"Ill be outside, get the guards to find me afterwards alright?" He looked down at me, hugging me once more. I nodded and stepped away from Thor and into the throne room. I took a deep breath before walking into the huge room. The doors closed behind me as my flats were silent against the golden floor.
"Odin." I greeted, bowing how Sif had done last night.
"Thank you for coming." He said sharply, an edge to his voice. "I am sure Thor told you nothing of the rules here but there are, and he didn't follow them."
"May I ask what that rule is?" I clasped my fingers together.
"You are mortal. We are not. We have strict rules here preventing mortals from coming here. What would happen if others found out you were here? What if my people took offence to the future king breaking the rules." He continued.
