"Adam, I-" I sighed. "I don't know an easy way to say this. But things just aren't working out.. I heard what you did to Nicole and that's not okay with me. I thought things were actually going good with you. You are a great guy. You have the potential to be a great guy.. But just, not with me, or Nicole for that matter. I did love you, but not anymore. You aren't going to hurt me, or my best friend."

I looked up to Nicole, who was sitting beside me as I fumbled the words out of my mouth that I have practiced in my head all night.

"Great- Now call him, and tell that to him," Nicole commanded. I didn't respond for a bit.

"The thing is..." Nicole tilted her head to one side. "I think this is something that I should say to him to his face. Over the phone seems a bit, I don't know, unprofessional?"

"Since when are you anywhere near 'professional?'" She chuckled.

"Touché." I laid back on to the bed and she did the same. I looked over to her and sighed. "I wish I was les, so I could just date you." I laughed and started to make kissy faces to her.

"EW GROSSSS." She kicked me away and laughed. I rolled off the bed and onto the floor, crossing my legs and stretching my arms out.

"What now?"

"Shopping?" I just nodded as I got up.

"Hmm, what should you wear while you dump his ass..?" She began frantically looking through shelves as I stood beside her looking as well.

"That sounds like it could be a show, 'Dump His Ass." I started to laugh, "Coming soon to all televisions near you, 'Dump His Ass,' 7 pm, don't miss out!"

She laughed as well.

Ross' POV

My hand was shaking over the last digit of Bay's number. Just tell her. It's just informing her about her abusive boyfriend... Everything is fine. Why is this so hard for me? I can talk to thousands of people on stage, but I can't talk to one girl. Wow. I let out a long sigh. I rubbed the back of my neck and dialed the number.

Ring....

Ring....

"Come on, pick up, pick up, pick up..." I repeated tapping my finger on my desk.

I heard an annoyed "hello?" from the other side.

I sighed and said, "hey," in response.

"Uh... Why the random call...?" The all too familiar voice said.  It was really nice to hear her voice, not yelling at me that is, again.

"I wanted to talk to you- warn you about your boyfriend..." I'm starting to regret my decision about calling her. I mean, she probably doesn't want to talk to me. She probably wants nothing to do with me. I'm so stupid.

"Ross, I know. You don't need to warn me. I'm fine on my own." The response was dry.

"I guess you're right... But earlier this week, he may have came to my house." Ross, just say it, geeze. "And may have punched me in the face." I rubbed my neck.

The response took longer than I anticipated. "Oh..." Was the only thing that I heard, then a pause.  "A-are you okay...?"

"I'm fine. I just wanted to make sure that you were safe." I sound worried.

"I'm fine. I'm safe. Don't worry about me, okay. You have better priorities than me."

"My highest priority is knowing that you are safe."

"Funny, it took you three years to say that again." Ouch.

"I..."

"Ross, I gotta go. I'll talk to you later, okay?"

"Okay, talk to you later." Then the phone went flat line.

I love you, Bay.

Bay's POV

"What did he say?" Nicole said from inside the change room that she was in, trying on a new outfit.

I looked down to my phone. "He said that Adam punched him." I heard a quick, stifled laugh.

"I mean- oh no...." She said opening the change room door. "Blue or Purple?" She said holding a replica of the shirt she had put on but in purple beside her.

"Blue," I responded. She nodded and closed the door again. "But I think he still cares about me... I don't know. This is all too much for me. I can't handle it." I rested my forearms on the top of my head.

"And that's why I'm here to help." She opened the change room with her familiar clothes on and the new clothes in hand, with a big grin on her face.

I smiled back. "I know."

"So, have you picked out anything?" She noticed that bag that was sitting beside me.

"I mean, I got this one dress. It's really pretty and really cheap."

"Good."

The walk back to our hotel was mostly quiet with us listening to music, one ear bud in each of our ears.

Once we got back to the hotel we put our bags into our suitcases and everything was set for us to leave later that night.

The flight was long, but we made it home alive at least. Nothing important happened. I had turned my phone off and once I turned it back on, I was flooded with emails and missed calls. Mostly from Adam. I let out a sigh. I showed Nicole my phone and she gave a worried look.

"To be honest, I don't think you should call him back." Nicole said.

"How else am I supposed to get him to talk to me."

Nicole shrugged as I sighed and dialed his number.

He picked up on the first ring. "Bay, how come you didn't answer my calls earlier?"

"I was on the plane. Listen, hun, we need to talk."

"Do you want me to pick you up?"

"No, we'll be fine."

"Okay meet at my house at 7."

"I'll be there."

This phone went silent.

"Was that Adam?" Nicole asked.

"Yep."

"Well, what did he say?"

"7 o'clock, his house."

"Do you want me to come?"

"Nah, I'll be fine."

I hope.
