(4 years later)

"WAKE UP!!!!!!!" I heard someone yell at me but I couldn't really hear who it was since I was still half asleep.

"Go away, I'm too tired to deal with you right now." I said slightly falling back to sleep, groaning as I covered my pillow over my head.

"Fine, so I guess you're too old for birthdays now..." The voice trailed off as I hear the creak of the door hinges start to play like bells.

"Uggghhh." I groaned, but as soon as I had processed what she said, I shot up. "I almost forgot!" I got up a little too excited and I ended up falling off my bed. I looked up only to see a pair of feet. My eyes trail up before I met eyes with Misty.

"Yeah, sure. 'Almost.'" She said laughing at me.

She's right I did really forget but she wasn't lying.

I looked up at my calendar and on June 7th in big letters, it read 'MY BIRTHDAY!' In bright red permanent marker.

I gasp before I jump onto my feet. "GET OUT I NEED TO GET READY!!!!" I yelled while pushing her out the door.

I heard my phone ring a few moments later while I was trying to spread my bed. "Flip a switch, turn on the lightning get it right show em' how it's done." I started dancing a bit before I answered my phone.

"Hello?"

As soon as I answer, a powerful voice boomed through the receiver, "HHAAPPPPYY BBIIRRTTHHDDAAYY!!!!!" I had to hold the phone a bit away from my ear. It was Nicole.

"Ahhh!" I scream with her with a chuckle. "Thank youuu!" I say back.

"Do you think anyone's going to remember at school?"

"I hope not..." I groan,  "Hey... what did you get me?" I grin even though I know she can't see me through the phone.

"It's a surprise you have to wait until your party to find out!" I could tell she was winking with a chuckle in her voice. "Anyways we are going to be late, I'll see you at school, birthday girl. Bye."

"Bye." I smiled as I heard dial tone. My phone read 7:36 and I have to be at school by 8:30. No rush because school is literally one block away.

I filled up the bath and did this awkward sitting pose to get in trying as hard as I can, not to get my feet wet but I have failed. They got wet. "Oh man!" I yelled but no one heard me but that's a good thing. I still bathed I didn't care. I struggled to get out of the bath tub and managed to dry myself off.

My brown curly hair was dangling all over my face. I didn't want to have to deal with the knots and frizz of my hair so I got out my straightening iron and straightened my hair. I put on some make-up and walked out of the bathroom.

Now I just have to decide what to wear... I ended up wearing jeans shorts, a dark blue tank top, a light blue flannel, and blue high tops. If you haven't already guessed, my favourite colour is blue. A few moments later, I looked at the time. Oh my gosh, it's 8!

I ran down the stairs and I saw a cupcake, and breakfast waiting for me on the dining table. Aunty already went to work and Misty probably left for school too. I was sad that no one was home for my birthday. Yet at the same time happy that they went through the time to make me this cupcake and breakfast and I am usually the one to make breakfast for everyone.

Wait... They'd have to make more than one cupcake if they made a whole batch... I must find where they are!

I finished my breakfast and was about to leave. It was 8:20. I grabbed my lunch out of the fridge and I saw a card there to I had no time to read it so I took it with me and I bolted out the door. I made it just in time and since history was my first subject I ran to the classroom and sat in my normal desk. Top right corner beside the only window and my best friend. I made it just before they called my name for attendance.
