Explanation

Ivan let out a soft whine as Yao's lips left his. The kiss had been innocent, just a slow brushing of the lips, but that was enough to turn him into a blushing and stuttering mess. Yao just chuckled before he said, "Now I wish that we could continue, but I believe that I have some explaining to do."

The sound of his voice startled Ivan out of his daze. Blinking, he stared at Yao, waiting for him to say continue. Yao just drew in a deep breath before saying, "I had a big speech planned out where I was going to sweep you off your feet. But looking at you right now, I can't seem to remember it. There is only one thing I remember. I remember watching you as the other countries bullied you, as you were called a monster. I cried with you and wished I could hold when I knew you were about to break."

"If you will have me, I would love to be able to hold you and comfort you for the rest of our lives. I would love to chase away your nightmares and hold you close every night and tell you how much you mean to me. When I proposed to you, I hadn't been expecting you to faint, so I guess this is a proper proposal. What I'm trying to say is, Ivan Braginsky, will you let me give you all of my love and put your pieces back together? Will you marry me?"

Taking a deep breath, Ivan said,

"I will."
