Harry
I sat in the library going over my notes, while Leslie sat across from me doing her homework. This was a weekly thing we did, study together at least once a week. It was nice, to just sit with her and get suff done without getting interrupted. Leslie is only in my English and biology class, this semester. She's dead set on becoming a paramedic. Which makes me quite proud of her, as for myself I hope to do something in the medical field. It's what I'm suppose to do right? Become a doctor or even a scientists, help the world discover a cure for cancer. It's what smart people do.
My thoughts got disrupted by Leslie hitting my arm, trying to get my attention. I looked up at her, as she motioned for me to look up at the familiar blonde boy who was talking to the librarian at the front desk. It made me wonder why he was here? I was positive he only had English this semester, as Liam only had English this semester. I could be wrong, but Niall wasn't in any of my other classes.
I was starring at his back, the way you could see the muscles through his extremely tight shirt. He looked unbelievably hot today, he wore a navy blue v-neck shirt with black jeans and white adidas high tops. His hair was styled into a whiff like usual, he always looked so perfect.
It didn't down on me that I was starring for so long until he turned around and saw me starring at his beautiful muscular back. My cheeks were flushed in embarrassment, he smiled and began making his way over towards us. Dammit. He's going to tell me to stop starring and quit being so weird. I was pretty weird sometimes, especially when I stalk his Facebook or Twitter page. I will never admit that to anyone.
In a matter of seconds Niall stood aside Leslie smiling as wide as a fat kid would when he saw the ice cream truck.
"Hey Harry," he waved slightly. I'm blushing and I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks.
"Hey Niall, what are you up to?" I ask politely. Honestly I was curious to know what brought him to the library at lunch.
"I was just looking into some books that I've been interested into reading lately," he smiles and looks down.
"I didn't know you read," well I didn't really know him all that well to begin with.
"Yeah I just saw some books that seem interesting when I was at your place the day you began tutoring me. I thought I'd check them out," he says shyly. Like he's embarrassed that he remembered the kind of books I read. I was curious to know what books.
"What books interested you? I could of lent you a few," I don't just let anyone borrow my books. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever met someone my age that would take the initiative to read something on their own time.
"Well," he scratches the back of his head and thinks. "I don't really remember any besides King Lear, I was gonna explore the library." He laughs hesitantly.
"Well, I'm sure I can point you in the right direction. Even when your over next time I could show you my little library at home." I smile, with such confidence. I don't know where it's coming from but I'm loving the confidence I have at the moment. Hold onto it Harry, you might not have it next time.
I can feel Leslie's eyes on me, like she's wondering too; what the hell happened to Harry.
"That would be great Harry, but I don't want to waste your time any longer." Niall tries to be thorough, but I'm not letting this go.
"C'mon," I said standing up, and motioning for him to follow with a head nod. He smiles widely and follows closely behind me as I take him to the selection of John Greene books. Which are perfect books to start off reading.
Niall stares at the amount of books there are in this library. I can tell he's never really been in one. I look at the numbers on the bottom of the books and skim through the ones on the shelves looking through the selection. The one I'm looking for should be, ah there it is.
I stop and slid the book out handing it to him. "I recommend this one for starters," I smile. Niall scans over the cover over the book.
"The Fault in Our Stars?" He almost questions. "What's it about?"
"Ah, ah, ah, you gotta read it to find out. This is probably one of John Greens popular books. There is even a movie you could watch after your done," I explain. Niall nods simply.
"Thanks Harry, this means a lot. Really you've helped me a lot," he explains rambling the words off his tongue.
"It's no problem Niall, it's the least I could do. For one of Liam's friends of course," I add the last part and immediately regret it. From the face he gives me, but he acts it off cooly like it he doesn't care. I could see that it did.
Niall leans against the book case while crossing his arms. He stares into my green eyes looking for something. If only I knew what he was searching for and then maybe I can give it to him.
