Everyday since he had rescued you, you went back to the spot where he took you to safety, hoping to see him again. It had been two weeks, but no luck. You thought you'd try again tonight and if he didn't show, you would leave it for lost. You did your hair and makeup carefully, and chose a dress that complimented your (Y/E/C) eyes. When you made it to the park, no one was there, so you sat down on a bench. You waited. And waited. And waited. 30 minutes had passed but no Thor. Sighing, you picked up your purse and started to walk home. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be, but you still wanted to thank him properly for saving you. All of a sudden you hear a deep, strong voice call out, "Lady (Y/N/H), surely you won't pass me buy without saying hello?" You whirled around to see Thor standing there with a white rose in his hand. He looked like a picture from a story book. The light filtered through the trees, making him look slightly a-glow. But the best part was the smile on his face. He looked happy to see you, and relieved. "Thor! you exclaim, I thought you'd forgotten about me." "Oh, I could never forget you, fair maiden. I've just been on business in Asgard. And now that I am back, I would like to ask you something." Your heart started to race, and you say, "Sure, ask away." He walked closer to you, and got down on one knee. "Fair Lady (Y/N/H), would you care to accompany me on a date this fine evening?" he said holding the rose out. You reached out and took the rose. "I would be absolutely delighted Thor." He started to get up, but you said, "Wait! Can I take a picture of you kneeling and holding the rose? I know it seems weird, but I love photography and this is a very special moment to me." He settled back down into his previous position. "But of course, I would be more than happy too, he said with a dazzling smile. You smile in return and pull out your camera. The lighting was just perfect, there was a slight breeze, and he still looked excited about asking you out. He held up the rose and you snapped a shot. "Perfect, you declare. Now, where are we going?" "I thought we'd take a walk around the park until sunset, then sit and watch it, afterwards I will take you home. I brought a small picnic basket with treats." "Sounds good, I like it," you say as Thor takes your arm. You two enjoyed a nice long stroll, all the while getting to know each other. You talked about everything, he told you about Asgard and his people, and you told him about the small town you grew up in and your family, your seven older brothers included. You also told him about your love of photography. You recalled to him moments as a child that seemed to hold still for you, because they were so perfect and joyful, and that's why you now always have a camera with you. To capture these moments so they can long be remembered even when the people that are in them, are gone. He seemed to rather like this and declared that you were an old soul. Eventually the sun started to set and you both took a seat on a hill, overlooking the park. In the picnic basket were bottles of water, and strangely, pop tarts. You looked skeptically at Thor. "Lady (Y/N/H), pop tarts are a delicacy of human food, they're my favorite." You laugh and bite into one, they were certainly good. You sat and watched the sun go down, without talking. Without realizing it, you had slid closer to Thor. He slowly took your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours, and you rested your head on his shoulder. All of a sudden, a jogger went by, and it was none other than Captain America! He waved once he saw Thor. "Good evening Captain of the Americas, would you do me a favor? Thor said excitedly. "Sure," Steve said shrugging. "Would you mind taking a picture of me and lady (Y/N/H)?" Steve smiled at you and took the camera you were holding out. He snapped a quick picture and tossed it back to you. "Have a good evening Thor, and it was nice meeting you (Y/N/H)." "Thanks, you too," you call out as he salutes and jogs away. Eventually the sun completely set and you were wiped out. "Lady (Y/N/H), I will carry you if you are too tired to walk." You thought about saying no but let him pick you up bridal style as you stifled a yawn. In what seemed like a moment, he dropped you off at your front door. You handed him a slip of paper with your phone number on it. "Thank for such a wonderful evening Thor, I really needed it." "Thank you, for letting me take you, I am so glad I found you. Shall we do this again?" "Yes, I would love that." He smiled triumphantly. "I suppose we better call it a night, you say with a sigh. "Yes, but one more thing." Thor said softly. He than cupped the back of your head with one of his large hands, and kissed you gently on the forehead. A big smile grew on your face, and you felt filled with joy. "Until we meet again," he said and flew away. That night you went to sleep with a smile on your face,  and a song in your heart.
