You always loved the sunrise, it was your favorite part of the day.

It was your practice to get up early and drink your coffee while watching it and praying about your day.

On this particular morning, you were sitting in the kitchen of the Avengers' tower watching it out the window.

You had moved in about 4 months ago and everyone seemed to love you being there, and likewise.

Over that course of time, Bucky Barnes had become your best friend. At first he was very quiet and hesitant to share his past with you, but eventually he opened up and you two could talk about anything.

You smiled to yourself, thinking about all the good times you've had together. From tackling dangerous missions, or running simple errands he and Steve had always made it interesting. Though you and Bucky weren't anything but friends, you had started developing feelings for him recently and couldn't help but wonder if he liked you too.

Sometimes you would look across the room to find him staring at you, but you both would quickly look away blushing. Then there was the fact that Steve would sometimes pull him off to the side, urgently gesturing towards you and whispering in his ear. Bucky would just look at the ground and blush, shaking his head.

You were startled out of your thoughts when a deep voice groggy from sleep sounded right next to you.

"Good morning (Y/N/H)," Bucky slurred, holding a cup of coffee and sitting next to you.

"Good morning," you replied in pleasant shock, he didn't usually get up this early.

After about fifteen minutes of watching the sun and waking up, he turned to you and cleared his throat.

You looked up at him, your (Y/E/C) eyes wide with curiosity. He looked you in the eye blushing immensely.

"(Y/N/H), there's something I've wanted to ask you for awhile now and I really hope I do it right. I was just wondering if, if maybe you'd like to see a movie with me tonight? Just you and me?"

Your heart thumped in your chest and you could hardly believe it.

"Uh yes that would, that would be amazing," you stuttered out.

A relieved look came across his face and he gave you an adorable toothy grin.

"I hope that was okay," he said looking into his empty cup, "I haven't asked a pretty girl like you out in a long, long time."

You smiled as you pulled his coffee cup away making him look up at you.

"No it wasn't ok, it was perfect. And thank you, by the way."

He nodded and said, "No problem doll, I was thinking we would leave about 6:30 and catch a movie at 7:00 then stop for ice cream afterwards? Does that sound alright?"

"It sounds fantastic, what do you think Steve?" you say eyeing the entrance to the kitchen expectantly.

A startled gasp sounded from around the corner confirming your suspicion.

You nearly died laughing as Steve walked into the kitchen looking like a guilty puppy.

"I think it sounds like you two'll have fun" he says meekly, sitting across from you and Bucky.

You jump up and give Bucky a kiss on top of the head.

Both him and Steve starred wide eyed at you in shock.

"If you two old, slow lazy bags of bones don't mind I'm going to go train," you say running out of the room.

You heard a high five and Steve congratulate Bucky, then footsteps running behind you.
