I'm planning on making this into a mini-series, I hope you all like it. I do take requests, just PM me.
"Are you ready, Ms. Stark?"
You took a deep breath and smoothed your pencil skirt. "Yes, I believe so."
The doctor led you through steel doors into a lofty room. Light gleamed off of many steel surfaces. At a table in the center sat Captain America, or rather, Steve. Next to him, not 15 feet away, a super soldier was asleep. Well, cryo-sleep.
Steve's head snapped up and he stood to greet you. He stuck out a large hand and you shook it.
"(Y/N/H), it's good to see you again. Thank you for doing this," he said, his sincerity evident in his clear blue eyes.
"It's my job Steve, plus you guys are my friends. I'd do anything to make things right," you said remembering the events that got you here.
"Does Tony know?" he asked seriously.
"No. He, in fact, does not know. My intentions are too keep it that way. He wouldn't understand, not yet anyway."
Steve laid a hand on your shoulder. "They were your parents too, though I know you were only adopted."
You smiled thinking of your adoptive mother, the late Maria Stark. "She would've wanted this to happen. She was the most merciful person I knew. And I want to see Bucky get better," you ensured, slight tears forming in the corners of your eyes. "I really do."
Steve smiled at you. "And you're one of the most merciful people I know. Are you ready to meet him?"
Once again you took another deep breath. "As ready as I'll ever be."
Steve looked to the doctor and nodded. The doctor proceeded to push a few buttons and a deep beeping sound let you guys know that the cryo-crypt was opening.
Steam flooded from the crypt and a dim light lit up the face of a man in deep sleep. He looked cold and defenseless. Even with the knowledge of his insane strength, you still thought so.
"Bucky, wake up. It's me, Steve." said the super soldier.
Slowly, James Buchanan Barnes opened his eyes and looked around.
"Y-yeah? What did you wake me up for?" he questioned in the voice of someone that was half asleep.
"We found a way to help you work on getting rid of what Hydra did to you. Remember? We agreed only to wake you up when we knew we could do it."
"Ah, that's right," he said getting out and stretching, "what do I gotta do?"
Steve turned to look at you and Bucky's eyes followed. They narrowed in confusion.
"Who's this?" he asked warily.
"This is Ms. (Y/N/H) Stark, and she's a therapist. Your therapist, to be exact." Steve replied.
"Stark? As in you're related to Tony Stark?" he questioned, shock all over his face.
"Yes, but not by blood. I'm his adopted sister," you answered, reaching out your hand, "it's nice to finally meet you Mr. Barnes."
He looked to Steve in question. When Steve nodded he shook your hand.
"Call me Bucky, everybody does," he said, obviously not sure why you'd be the one to help him.
"Ok, Bucky," you said with a small smile, "know that you can trust me."
He smiled back slightly. "Good, because those kind of people are few and far between these days."
"I'll explain later Buck," Steve interjected, "but for now let's get you a shower."
"And a sandwich," Bucky added.
You laughed on the inside as they said goodbye and left. Afterwards Sam came and showed you to your room.
"You know you got your work cut out for you, right?" Sam asked sarcastically.
You nodded. "I know it won't be easy, but then again life never is. But it's worth it."
He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Always one for sappy internet quotes. See ya later (Y/N/H)."
"Bye Sam," you farewelled as he left.
You plopped down on your bed. Day 1, complete.
Now for all the rest.
...............................................Hey y'all! What did you think? I really love the idea of Bucky getting better, though it won't be easy. Don't you? See you in the next chapter!😁

Avengers: Preferences (Under Editing)
FanficIt's just my imagining of what it would be like to interact and fall in love with the Avengers. Notice: I do not own any of them, but Captain America owns my heart. I will do Loki, Captain America, Thor, Ironman, Hawkeye, Bruce, and Bucky. I will ha...
