"Oh, my god." I breathed out as I faced Cayden and Josh, their faces confused.
"Joy, what're you doing? Why's you sleeve ripped and-WHAT IS ON YOUR ARM?!" Cayden ran over to me and started to reach out to grip my arm, but stopped, as if it was contagious.
"Oh my god-What is that?!" Josh screamed out. He started to back away from me and Cayden took a step back. Josh looked completly horrified, and Cayden looked confused, shocked, and a bit scared.
I could feel tears build up in my eyes. "I knew this would happen." I quietly whispered, but I knew they could both hear me. "I knew you'd react like this." I looked up at Cayden, his eyes locked on my fur. "I'm a monster, and you're afraid of me, aren't you?! I knew this would happen!!"
Then I turned and ran. Tears were streaming out my eyes as I bolted as fast as I could to my house, still holding my arm so no one else would see. Didn't matter though. Either Josh or Cayden were going to tell everyone at school, the next day, and I'd be the schools new mascott.
I'm not going back to school tomorrow. I thought. I can't.
When I reached home, I raced upstairs to my bedroom and started packing.
I can't stay in town. Everyone will know and I'll be a monster to everyone else as well as me.
An hour later I spread out a map of the world on the living room floor, and had Google up on my lap top next to it.
I typed in 'Hybrid clans'.I needed to find somewhere I would fit in more. I needed to find other people like me. I knew where I was headed after another hours' reading.
To Turkey. On the other side of the world. A clan of wolf-boys live there. If I find them, maybe they'd help me. The website didn't say much on if they were nice or not, but I figured I'd find out. I went upstairs to the jewerly box I put every necklace or braclet or ring Cayden gave me for my birthday. I opened it up and took out the thousand dollars I'd been saving up for a good car.
"To Turkey," I sighed as I started counting the money, and looked up flight times to Japan from where in Orgeon I was. That's where I originally was from.
Perfect. There was a flight time at 10 the next morning. I'd just skip school and go to the airport.
Not that I would go to school anyway.
