Just my luck, Summer happened to be only two days after the little catnapping incident.

On the last day everyone went around to different classrooms and grades asking people to sign their yearbooks.

Most of the popular people were sitting at desks with a line of people holding out pens and their yearbook.

Jen, Cayden, and I were sitting at a group of desks at the back of the most abandoned classroom, playing Go-Fish.

Every now and then a group of girls would come squealing in and ask Cayden to sign their yearbooks or arms. One girl asked him if he could sign her...things!

Once she saw my 'I'm-gonna-kill-you-if-you-ever-tell-my-boyfriend-to-do-that-again' glare, she went running away.

After she left the room, I turned back to Jen and Cayden and grumbled, "I ain't gonna miss her this Summer."

"So, Joy," Jen said, trying to make up a conversation. "What are you doing when you get home?"

"I dunno." I shrugged. "Eat a bagel? Climb a tree?"

She chuckled. "What're you doing Cayden?"

"I have to go to a birthday party for my five year old cousin." He sighed. "It's in Olympia."

"Ooh," I said. "That sucks."

"I know." He agreed.

"Y'know what makes it even worse?" I asked.

He looked up at me confused.

"I saw your King. Gimme it." I held out my hand until he sighed and put the card in my fingers.

I laughed evilly at my victory of Go-Fish. "I win!" I smiled.

I plopped down on my couch and turned on Victorious, once I got home. I stared dreamily at the guy who played Beck, and didn't even realize my cell was vibrating in my back pocket. I got it out and looked at the text.

I need 2 talk 2 u now its an emrgnc!

I didn't recognize the number.

Who is dis? I typed.

Enis

I got a confused look on my face and called the number.

"Joy?"

"Yeah." I answered.

"Oh, good. Listen, Emre is after you. He should be showing up at your house in a couple days. He just left."

"What!?" I screamed. "Why?! I hate him?! Tell him to leave me alone!!"

"I know!" He said, slightly panicked. "Just, calm down. We have eight of the guys going to get him."

"Why?! Why is he coming after me?!" I screeched.

"I don't know, but he's furious."

I swore and hung up. I didn't want to deal with Emre. I didn't want to deal with his annoyances.

I dialed a number and waited for him to answer.

"Hello?"

"Allen, it's Joy. I have a wolf-boy coming to get me." I said quickly.

"Huh?" He said, clearly confused.

"Boy. Wolf. Get me. Probably angry!" I said louder and slower.

"Shit." He swore. "I'm coming over."

"Ka-"

He hung up.

Five seconds later:

Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!

I ran to the door and let Allen in.

"When is he coming? I know people for this kind of thing!" He said loudly, walking right into my house and started pacing.

"A couple days." I answered. "And what people do you know that can handle a muscular, furious, ferocious, wolf boy?!"

He ignored me and went speed walking into my kitchen. I had to run to keep up with him.

He started grabbing food out of my fridge and took a bite out of my last piece of cheese cake.

"Hey!! What are you doing!? That's my last piece!! I love my cheese cake!!" I screamed at him, reaching to grab the cake that he layed down on a plate.

"I eat when I'm nervous and thinking!" He complained with his mouth full.

"Well, you can't EVER touch my cake. Especially, the chocolate cake." I demanded.

He froze. I glared at him in a 'Don't-even-think-about-it' way, and he pouted.

"No." I ordered putting my cheese cake away and pushing the chocolate one back more.

I turned back to him. "So what do we do about this?"

"I know people." He said and then chugged down the rest of my milk.

"Dude! Stop it!! I hate grocery shopping!!" I yelled at him, taking the carton and throwing it away.

We stood in silence. Allen started slowly reaching for an apple. I sighed and nodded and he grabbed it and started taking huge bites.

"So, what 'people' do you know?" I asked him.

"Like us." He said with his mouth full. "And, Joy, you're cellphone is vibrating."

I walked over to my couch in the other room and saw I had a new text message, from Jen.

I nodded to myself and walked over to the front door.

"Wait! Joy! You're gonna leave me in your house alone with your fridge?!" Allen yelled after me.

"Hell no! You're driving me!"

I heard him sigh and run after me.
