Starting with Marco because there's not enough love for this Freckled Jesus. Also, I know nothing about college dorms so lets pretend they're like small apartments.

Having moved to Germany for college, you had just finished unpacking the few belongings you brought, placing them in the right areas of your shared dorm. You could only assume your dorm mate was already here, but not around, as the small living area you passed through had a few pictures on the walls along with a shirt thrown across the back of the couch.

After making sure your room was how you wanted it, you quickly changed out of the dress you'd been wearing into clothes more suitable for a guy, even though you didn't feel comfortable in them. You'd admit, you were glad your dorm mate wasn't here as you didn't want to explain why you were wearing a dress in the first place due to past experiences.

"Hey, look! It's [y/n]!" Nick, one of your daily tormentors shouted.

Ignoring him, you walked faster to try and get home. Even though Nick never physically hurt you, he'd still make fun of you for wearing girls clothing. You couldn't help that, on some days, you felt more comfortable in a dress or skirt then a pair of jeans.

"Come on, [y/n], don't ignore me like that." Nick sang, grabbing your shoulder and forcing you to turn to him.

"What do you want, Nick?" You asked, your tone polite.

"Just want to talk to my favorite gay, that's all!" Nick laughed, wrapping his arm around your shoulder.

To anyone who didn't know, it would look like Nick was being nice and that this was playful banter. But you and most of the students at your high school knew otherwise. Outside school walls, Nick would make it seem like he was a friend all because your father was an officer and often drove down the street to make sure no one was bothering you after school when you walked home.

"As I've said before, I'm not gay. I'm gender fluid." You muttered just loud enough for him to hear your partial lie. You'd never admit to anyone, but you actually were gay.

"Gender fluid, gay. Same thing! Only a gay guy would wear such an ugly dress!" Nick chuckled, pointing at the dress you were currently wearing.

Rolling your eyes, you shrugged his shoulder off you and turned around, starting to walk again. You weren't going to respond as it was the same every time you wore anything girly. Nick would make fun of your clothes, saying they were ugly or didn't match. You pretended every time you didn't care, but you really did as you had no one to help you when it came to dresses, your mother having passed away.

"Hey, don't walk away! We're just having fun!" Nick laughed, rushing to walk next to you.

"Why don't you go away?" You said through grit teeth, you didn't want to deal with him right now.

Nick just looked at you, an eyebrow raised.

"I'm sick of the way you treat me. In school it's constant teasing and complaints, outside of school you just pretend to be friendly because of my dad. Just leave me alone and bother someone else!" You shouted at him before running, only to be pushed face first into the ground, Nick standing over you.

"Listen here, gay boy, I don't appreciate the way you just talked to me. Don't worry, I'll make sure the rest of the school year is hell for you." Nick growled, kicking your side before stalking off.

True to his word, Nick had made the rest of the year hell.

Shaking your head from the thoughts, you grabbed your wallet then left your room to go somewhere for food only to be met with a black-haired male with freckles. The other noticed you and was the first to speak.

"Ah, you must be my dorm mate! I'm Marco, Marco Bott!" Marco said, holding his hand out while smiling.

You couldn't help but smile as you shook his hand.

"[Y/n], [y/n] [l/n]." You responded.

"Nice to meet you. Sorry I wasn't here when you got here, I had to help a friend who's trying to be a vet. For a guy who's great with animals, he can't calm down a horse." Marco said as he took off his jacket and sat down on the couch.

You sat next to him, forgetting about getting food for the time being.

"Horses are sometimes hard to calm down when spooked, which can happen if you come up to them from one of their blind spots. The only real way to avoid it is by speaking to them when you walk up to them. Did you know horses don't see like we do? They have a blind spot right in front of there nose that goes up to four feet in front of them. The second is be-" You stopped when Marco started laughing.

"Sorry, I just know a lot about horses." You apologized.

"It's alright, are you majoring in something related to animals?" He asked.

Snorting, you shook your head.

"No. I wanted to be a vet when I was younger, but I'm allergic to dogs. Though that didn't stop my dad from bringing home a stray every now and then." You chuckled before continuing, "I'm majoring in fashion. What about you?"

"Art. I've always enjoyed drawing. Maybe if you ever get a huge project, I could draw you a design." Marco laughed.

Pushing his shoulder lightly, you rolled your eyes. "Oh yeah? If that ever happens, I'll go to you first."

It had been about two months since classes started and you'd just gotten back to your dorm. Walking in, you were glad to see Marco standing in the small kitchen, probably debating on what to make for dinner.

"Hey, Marco!" You called, fidgeting slightly. Today had been a hard day for you. When you woke up, your body called for you to wear a dress but you were too afraid of how Marco would react. After all, you had fallen for the boy.

"Hm? What's up, [y/n]?" Marco asked, looking at you.

Pulling a packet out of your bag, you walked over and handed it to him.

"You said if I ever had a big project where I needed to make something, you'd draw it out for me."

Marco took the packet, quickly skimming through the few pages, humming slightly. It was quiet for a few minutes as Marco read, and you couldn't help but wish he'd hurry up as you fidgeted uncomfortably.

"I'm sure I'll be able to draw something." Marco smiled, only to frown when he saw you fidgeting.

"You okay?" He questioned.

You froze, not sure if you should tell him or not.

"I'm fine." You lied. You could tell Marco saw through the lie, but he didn't say anything, just set down the packet and went to his room to get started on the drawing.

You made dinner that night. It was a simple meal, seeing as you couldn't really cook. Fixing a plate for Marco, you brought it to him, quietly entering his room and leaving it on his desk near him since he wouldn't notice otherwise. One thing you learned about Marco, when he drew he wouldn't notice anything.

Leaving his room, you went back to the small kitchen to eat your own food before quickly rushing to your room and changing into a dress while Marco was too busy drawing to notice. Sighing, you laid back on your bed, reveling in the feeling of finally being 'free'.

"Hey, [y/n]! I fi-... why are you wearing a dress?" Marco asked after walking into your room.

'Curse our habit of not knocking.' You thought as you sat up, looking at the floor.

"Well I uh..." You started, afraid about what would happen if you told him. Though, you knew you didn't have much of a choice now. "...I'm gender fluid so sometimes I feel like a girl, and wearing dresses and skirts during those times makes me feel more comfortable." You muttered, not looking up at Marco.

Everything was quiet. You didn't even notice Marco walking over to you until he made you look up at him. He was smiling, which you didn't expect from him.

"You look cute in a dress." He said before he kissed you softly then walking out of your room, leaving the drawing next to you.

All you could do was sit there, a slight blush on your cheeks.
