Chapter 2

I walked into a room with a fireplace on the left hand corner, the fireplace was the only thing lighting the room. When I stepped in closer I noticed that there was someone standing by the window and he turns to catch my gaze. His eyes were a deep blue when far but as I got closer they turned violet, it shocked me because I’ve never seen such a color in person, he grabbed me and kissed me so passionately and forceful. It almost made me light headed from it that I had to pull away from this man that I have never seen before. I woke up and it was only two hours before I had to go to work.

“Ugh, I’m so tired still, maybe I could sleep for a little” I said to myself, but then shook my head as I got up to get ready for work.

As I got up and started to take a shower, I heard my cell phone ring, I let it ring until I came out of the shower. I saw two missed calls and they were from Emily, she probably wanted to tell me about her and Derek, how fun it was and blah blah blah. I called her back and she picked up within the first ring.

“Oh my God Chloe, Derek is awesome he is even cuter when he laughs really loud and he’s easy to talk to, you know that’s hard for guys”. I laughed and agreed with her.

“Emily I have to start to get ready, but come in early so we could talk some more”

“Okay bye” than we hung up the phone.

I got dressed with a nice black skirt, I chose a white shirt to put on, showing a bite of my cleavage and as for my shoes I picked my black boots that went up to my knees. As I left my apartment and began to head to work I felt the chill again down my spine, I stood there and looked around but only saw a couple of kids walk pass me. I started walking again but this time I power walked to the Catwalk, once I walked through Greg and the other bouncer I felt better. Every Thursdays the Catwalk is over crowed and stupid drunken men get into fights.

“Excuse me miss, miss?”

 I turned around and saw a tall man about twenty-eight to thirty, with sexy slanted dark blue eyes, very white skin with thin lips, and his hair is an ash brown gel backed. He seems to be 6”2 and dressed very well with black slacks and a white button down shirt.

“Yes, how can I help you?”

“Can I get a beer please?”

As I handed him the beer I noticed that I’ve never seen him here before

“Is this your first time here?”

“Yeah, I heard of this place so I wanted to check it out”

“I hope you enjoy yourself… I’m sorry what’s your name? Mines Chloe”

He smiled and said “my name is Mason”

We smiled at each other but I was all over the bar handing out drinks. But every time I passed Mason I would look his way; he would watch me, trying to study me in every way. In watching him I tripped over and broke a few glasses,

 “Fuck” I said out loud.

In cleaning it up in a hurry I cut my finger so I run to the sink to wash my hand, luckily the First Aid kit  was next to me so I put a band aid on and I heard his voice say

“Did you hurt yourself?”

“It’s no big deal just a little scratch.”

When I turned around I saw his face filled with worry. Then I looked into his eyes and saw that they were violet not blue “wow” I whispered to myself remembering the dream I had.

“Chloe, hello can you hear me?” it was Emily waving her hand in front of me.

“Yeah, sorry I was distracted” smiling at her while I went back to clean up the rest of the mess.

“We need more help around here. Does Daniel really think that two of us are enough to work the first floor?

“Girl you know that Daniel is hard headed, and besides it’s not only us there’s me, you, and Meg and don’t forget the two bouncers we have. Which reminds me, how was it with the newbie?”

“Well that’s why I’m here. So he took me to my place and we stayed in his car just talking and nothing else. I’m so use to guys trying to hit on me all the time, so it was nice just talking…”

Emily stopped talking because Meg walked passed us “ok I’m leaving, bye bitches”

“Do you see what I mean? Meg is never here and when she is here she doesn’t do anything, so it feels that it’s just the two of us. I got to go table five is calling me, later”

Emily was right Meg was lazy and we both didn’t like her. As for her and Derek, I thought they could make a cute couple. I looked at the clock and it was only two-fifteen, because it was a Thursday, we closed at four for the rest of the weekend. As I keep working Mason called me over again.

“You want another beer?” He nodded and I gave him another.

 Ed was talking to himself again, I wanted him to leave the bar before he passes out. I called out to Greg to get him out. Greg is a big black man stronger than you thought. Taller than me about 5’9, many people confuse his body fat for weakness. His goatee always tickled me every time I kissed his cheeks, but I got use to it.

“Ed it’s time to leave” Greg said with his deep voice.

Ed got up and left without any problems. As it got close to four I began to clean up and put things away. I only had two men at the bar stool and Emily was cleaning as well, with heavy eyelids I knew she was tired. So I told her to head out to go home, she thanked me and I waited for the two to finish up head out. Finally they left and I was locking up with Greg, he drove me home because I didn’t feel safe walking at this time. I thanked him and when I got to my apartment I couldn’t stop thinking about the man I met that night, like I knew him from somewhere. I took off my cloths and turned off the lights and drifted off to sleep.
