Percy's pov

Another . . . Awful. . . Day. . . of school. Annabeth and Nico slept at my apartment, Annabeth in the guest room, Nico on the couch. Annabeth had done some research about the three kids but, she said she needed more information to get any reliable results. We're on the way to school now, we decided to keep a really close eye on them and that we'd follow them home after school, well that was the first idea but, it would be too obvious if three teenagers followed them,so we nominated Nico since he could blend in with the shadows and was the only one out of us three that could move without making a sound.

We got to school and went to LA, the bell rang as we sat down." For those of you who might have forgotten with your busy first day of school, I am Mr Blofis, this year in LA we will be studying many things, a few of which will be wonders of the world, novel studies and we will also do some book projects. Along with all of the other projects each of you will pick a country anywhere in the world and you must do a variety of projects and reports on your country." I was excited for wonders of the world as part of that unit would be the ancient wonders of the world and the country project sounded fun too.

Annabeth's pov

I was really excited for LA this year. Wonders of the world? Yes! Alot of that is architecture. Novel studies? Sounds fun. Book projects? Yay I'm reading a book about ancient Greek architecture, I can build one of the monuments. Country project? I could do Greece or maybe another country with cool mythology. If you couldn't understand, I'm really looking forward to LA, plus it's with Paul so luckily Nico Percy and I will not be chosen to read when we do the novel study, we'll just listen to others reading.

"Our first unit is wonders of the world, we'll start with the ancient wonders. Do any of you know some of the seven wonders?"

Carter put his hand up. "Yes? Carter?" "The pyramids." Carter replied "good that's the oldest one's,do you know when it was built?"Paul asked him " three thousand BC five thousand years ago." "Very good." Paul seemed impressed. I overheard sadie call him "Mr. Wikipedia." Nothing really happened the rest of class. I did note that he knew alot about ancient Egypt though it seemed odd.

The rest of the day passed in a blur nothing exciting just your average day.

Nico's pov

The last bell rang, school was out. "Remember if things get dangerous shadow travel back, okay?" "Yes, Percy. I understand." I say rolling my eyes. "See you soon." Annabeth told me be much more sencable for the situation, I was just going to stalk three kids, I'm not going to duel Zeus."Bye." I replied.

Percy and Annabeth left. I saw Sadie walk out, the two boys trailing behind. They started walking down the block, obviously, I followed them, staying half a block behind. They seemed like normal kids walking home from school, until they turned into the ally. For most people it would be hard to see, so dark and all, but me being a child of the underworld, shadows were in my possession, did my bidding, I had no problem seeing, as if the sun shone everywhere, just without the piercing light that hurt your eyes. I was still half a block behind the three when they turned a corner,they were out of my immediate sight,but I could still feel them through the shadows. I got the the corner,but as I was about to walk around it I felt an absence. The three kids had disappeared. I shadow traveled to Percy's apartment and sat down on the couch. A few minutes later Percy and Annabeth walked in. Both were surprised at first then seemed expectant,waiting for an explanation. " I lost them." I told them straight out, not hiding any of the shame in my voice. " It's okay," Percy said, walking towards the couch and sitting down beside me. " we'll try again tomorrow. "

School was rather uneventful the next day, before I knew it school was over. " See you later Nico. " Annabeth said. Percy waved behind her as they walked away. Soon the Kanes and Walt walked out. I followed them to the ally, staying alot closer to them as not to loose them. They stepped into the ally with me following.
