(Elizabeth's Pov)
I sat down beside Harry, keeping a distance between us. It's not that I'm scared of him, I'm scared of Zayn mainly, but still. I just get nervous around him. "So, how did you two exactly meet?" mum asked, resting her chin in her hand. "At the library," I said. "She got me up to date on music." I smiled and nodded, my hands suddenly feeling a bit wet. "Yeah, I was so shocked that he didn't know PTV!" Harry chuckled, glancing over at me. Once his eyes met mine, my smile faded. He makes me smile, but what if I fall for him? Like fall in love. I can't do that! Harry scooted a little closer, keeping it unnoticeable, but of course I notice. I mean, he's moving towards me. How could I not notice?
"So, Harry," I began, moving towards him. "Why exactly have you come?" I asked, playing with my sleeve. "Oh! Yeah." He chuckled, turning to look at my step-father. "Would it be alright if I take your daughter out today?" he asked very kindly. My eyes widened and a lump formed in my throat, choking me. I coughed slightly from surprise and got up. "I'll go get changed," I said, running towards the stairs. Part of me wants to go and is excited, but the other part says I shouldn't. Does that make sense?
I plugged my phone onto the dock and turned on King For A Day featuring Kellin Quinn. That song has been stuck in my head for a couple of days. As the instruments began playing, I started bobbing my head, getting ready to flip my hair once the lyrics came on.
Dare me to jump off of this Jersey bridge.
I bet you've never had a Friday night like this.
Keep it up, keep it up, lets raise our hands.
I take a look up at the sky and I see red.
Red for the cancer, red for the wealthy, red for the drink mixed with suicide.
I whipped my hair about, twirling around. This song makes me feel so happy and it just makes me perky. The guitar makes me want to learn and Kellin's voice just makes my heart melt. He's so cute and I just fangirl so much over him.
Please won't you push me for the last time.
Let's scream until there's nothing left.
So sick of playing, I don't want this anymore.
The thought of you's no fucking fun.
You want a martyr, I'll be one.
Because enough's enough, we're done.
I stopped to pull on my Disobey shirt and continued to dance around in my Nike shorts. My hair went everywhere and I was giggling at my own silliness. "Elizabeth?" a raspy voice said behind me, close to my doorway. I immediately stopped, tripping over a lost shoe. "Eep!" I squeaked as I hit the ground.
You told me think about it, well I did.
Now I don't want to feel a thing anymore.
I'm tired of begging for the things I want.
I'm over sleeping like a dog on the floor.
Harry rushed over to my side, a shocked expression washing over his face. "Clumsy, I see," he chuckled. "You scared the daylights out of me!" I placed my hand over my rapid beating heart and breathed quite heavily. "Sorry, love. That was cute dancing." I blushed darkly and he grinned. "I'm taking you to the park."
"Why the park?"
"Because it's beautiful ouside."
"But..it's hot outside."
"So?"
"My hair!"
He cocked a brow and smirked. "Your hair will be fine. Hurry and put your shoes on," he insisted, kissing my cheek gently. His phone began ringing once he got back on his feet, so he turned off my music and answered it. "Hello?...No, you can't...No! Zayn, no....You can't come!" he argued, stepping into my bathroom. I smiled at him, watching the way his arms barely swing with each step he takes. I pulled on a pair of socks and slipped on my bright green Nike shoes that match my shirt.
"Harry?" I asked, knocking on the bathroom door. "Shut up!" he hissed. I hope he wasn't talking to me.. "No! You're not coming on MY date!" I rolled my eyes and backed away from the door, heading downstairs. "Wait!" Harry said, shoving his phone in his pocket. Once he stood beside me, he gently took my hand, lacing our fingers together. How cute.
We walked downstairs, talking about how I got him into Pierce The Veil and how he likes my favorite song. "Would you say that it's your favorite song?" I asked him, batting my thick eyelashes. "Nah, but it's a close second," he answered, swinging our arms back in forth. "Bye, mom! Bye, David!" I said as we walked out of the door. "You call your father David?" Harry interrogated me. "He's not my dad.."
~
"Higher!" I squealed as Harry pushed me on the swings. "I'm trying," he chuckled, pushing on my backside. Suddenly he stops the swing and wraps his strong arms around me from behind. "What are you doing?" I asked, laughing. "I dunno." I started wiggling out of his arms, only to have him hold on tighter. "Let go," I whined, pouting up at him. He grinned. "You're too cute." He let go and sat on the swing beside me. "Let's play a game," he insisted, pushing himself. He was swinging back and forth lightly as I kicked around the gravel lying beneath me. "Like what?" I asked, looking over at the curly-haired lad.
"Twenty questions? I want to get to know you more."
"Alright."
"You first."
"Why me?"
"Because it was my idea!"
I sighed and nodded slowly. "Fine, um.. When was your first kiss?" I asked him, smirking. "I was fifteen," he answered truthfully, winking in my direction. "Really?" "Yeah! Why?" I bit my lower lip, blushing lightly. "When was your first kiss?"
"Umm...."
