I woke up, feeling both happy and curious. Happy because I had the time of my life yesterday, but curious as to what Jeremy wanted to say. I guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I jumped out of bed, opening my window to the dawning sun. I smiled, and inhaled, loving the scent of fall. Only a couple of weeks left until it’s time for snow, so I’m enjoying it while it lasts.

I started get ready, blow drying my hair and getting out my straightener as usual. Then I decided I wanted to feel different, but special, so I put my hair in a side braid, waiting for the waves to settle in. I put on a pair of skinny jeans, uggs, and a light blue flow-y tee shirt and a tan over coat to match the perfect look. I examined my body in my mirror, nodding in approval. Taking out my braid, I slid down the banister to the first floor of our lovely home. Grabbing an apple of the counter, I leaned over to kiss Grace on the cheek before leaving for school.

“Carson?” My aunt asked confused.

“Yes?” I asked dreamily.

She gave me a look, then deciding to let me be my weird self. “Have a good day at school.” She said slowly.

“Oh auntie I will.”

I skipped out of the kitchen and to the front door, grabbing my keys in the process.

“I bet it was a dream about Jeremy.” I heard Grace mumble. I just laughed and made my way to the car.

I just felt excited.

I practically ran to my locker, getting out books and trying to get to my first class. It had both Ally and Mack. I needed to tell them about my curing! They were going to be so proud! Unlike my dream.

Just then I thought of something-

Jeremy...

and Mack.

I stopped dead in my tracks and thought for a moment.

....

I don’t like Jeremy again. I can’t.

And Mack and I aren’t even going out.

....

Yeah, that settles it for now.

I skipped to my first class, and took my seat in the back, waiting for my friends. My phone vibrated and I took it out, shielding it from the oblivious teacher. It was from Jeremy. His old company wouldn’t let him text or call anyone except from their business, and it cost quite a lot of money to call over here. So, as a result, we could hardly keep in touch when he was gone. How I loved seeing his name on my phone again.

I flipped open the text message, revealing what he typed.

‘Can’t wait for tomorrow. I have an idea.’
