At last, Thursday came. After school, I drove to Grace’s work, giddiness spreading within me. It was nice to have an old friend back. It felt refreshing to talk to someone other than Ally, or Mack.
I then thought about Mack. I really did like him. He made me feel so..wanted. Mack was so perfect. His personality, his jokes, his eyes. They all fit him so well. I desperately want to kiss Mack, but I don’t even know if we’re together. I mean, it’s not like he’s asked me.
Unless..I forgot? No, my memory’s here. I wouldn’t have forgotten.
I arrived at the grey building, pulling my jacket closer to my body as I walked to the entrance. It really is getting cold.
As soon as I put one foot through the automatic doors, touching the tile floor, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me aside violently. I started to scream, struggling from the stranger’s grasp. A hand was placed over my mouth, and I was dragged down the hall and into a dark office room. I punched the kidnapper in the stomach and started to run, ignoring the groan in back of me. Right when I was about to leave this mysterious room, I heard a chuckle, then another groan. I spun around on my heels, and was surprised to see Jeremy, standing over and clutching his stomach. I gasped, running over to help him.
“Oh my gosh are you ok? Jer why would u do that?!”
Jeremy slowly stood back up. “You punch like a freakin’ guy Car.”
I smirked. “I know.”
He smiled, causing me to blush. I regained myself and tried again.
“So you kidnapped me why?”
“Oh! I wanted to see you squirm.” He answered evilly.
“Thanks Jer.” I said sarcastically.
“No problem. Now, ready for ‘the plan’?”
“I’m afraid to ask.”
He smirked. “Come on, I’ll show you.”
Jeremy took my hand and led me out his room and around the halls. Eventually he stopped in front of a large door I was unaware of.
“Um Jeremy?”
“Mhmm?” He said, observing it.
“Where are we?”
“You’ll see.” He answered, once again leading me.
Jer opened the door, and inside was basically a giant closet. He let go of my hand and went to rummage through some junk. I turned to the side and inspected the racks of random objects. Staplers, pens, a cupcake scented candle. Thinking no one would use it, I grabbed the candle and stuffed it in my jean pocket. I smiled evilly.
Eventually he motioned for me to come over. I followed the tone of his voice, and I was doing pretty well until I tripped on a huge brown box, causing me fall.
“Ahhh!"
Landing on something squishy, I tried to get up, only to get pulled down again. I screamed again, kicking the unidentified object below.
“Carson!” Jeremy hollered, laughing. “Stop it!”
“Oh? Oh! Jeremy! Stop trying to give me a heart attack!” I said, laughing.
“Like this?” He asked. I stopped laughing and raised an eyebrow. “Wha-”?
Jeremy raised his arms, only for them to fall on my sides and start tickling.
