We arrived at the office, little snowflakes beginning to fall. The first snowfall, and I Jeremy gets to ruin it. Yay.

I don’t know why I feel so bitter towards him. I mean, I used to love him! Maybe I’m not ready to face him, or I’m preparing for his stupid joke about my dancing in the car. Either way, I just don’t want to do it. Maybe I’m mad at Grace. Yeah, let’s go with that.

“Grace.”

“Yes?”

“I’m mad at you.”

She chuckled. “Stop being such a child and go look for Jeremy while I sign in.”

I grumbled, but obeyed. I walked down the hall, making a left and going to the third door on the right. I even remembered where his office was.

Great.

I hesitated, wondering if I should open the door. Would it be rude? We were such great friends though. Or was the real question, do I want to?

Not thinking any farther, I turned the knob slowly, then pushed the door open. To my surprise, no one was in here. And the room was neat. Too neat.

“What are you doing in here?”

I turned around, not staring at Jeremy, but a middle-aged man. “U-um, I’m sorry I’m looking for Jeremy Anderson?”

The man frowned. “He moved. He’s now in 7 C.

“Oh ok thanks.” I said, giving him a weak smile. He just shook his head. What was his problem?

Eventually I found 7 C, and found it to be completely open. I walked right in, and the room had to be his, there was a rubber chicken in the corner. Wait, I gave him that rubber chicken. As a joke!

I smiled. I loved having my memory back.

I heard a tiny gasp from behind me, and I spun around to see who it was. As soon as our eyes met, they locked, staring in shock. I couldn’t move. He looked the same. That same perfect face, the same haircut, everything, It’s like he hasn’t left.

“Carson?” He suddenly asked, his voice shaking.

I opened my mouth to talk, but found it very difficult. What should I say? Finally I got my voice.

“H-hey” I responded. Real creative Carson.

“Carson!” He said again, picking me up and bringing me in a huge hug, then twirling me around. His hands dug into my shoulders, and his face buried in my neck. I closed me eyes, not daring to hide my smile. I giggled, loving the feeling of time stopping. Also,  this time, this hug, well, it felt different. Like, less of a she’s-still-too-young-bear hug he used to give me, now more of a romantic-but hesitant type? I don’t know exactly what it felt like.

He eventually put me down and I immediately felt lonely. Jeremy’s brown eyes pierced into mine, anticipation obvious within them.

“Carson. I’ve really missed you!” He almost yelled, pulling me yet into another hug.

“Jeremy” I whispered, taking in his scent.

He pulled away, grinning like an idiot. I laughed, he looked too much like a puppy. I then got the feeling he was checking me out. I blushed, looking away.

“You still can’t control that, can you?” He said chuckling.

“Control what?”

“Your blush.”
