Rizuki and Nathan were busy in the kitchen making breakfast. They were making what Rizuki called Finnish pancakes. According to her they were delicious beyond belief. Nathan had never heard of such a thing, but he was willing to give it a shot for Rizuki because of how excited and happy she looked when she had been explaining what it was to him. Rizuki and Nathan had been spending a lot of time together in the kitchen constantly making different dishes. When Nathan had run out of ideas on what to make Rizuki would give him a few ideas and tell him about them then he was allowed to decide which one he wanted to make. At first, he found Rizuki's presence in the kitchen to be rather annoying, but now he found that if Rizuki wasn't in the kitchen with him then he got kind of lonely. He really enjoyed Rizuki's company and he enjoyed preparing dishes with her.
"Wait, I don't get how ya make this," Nathan commented as he looked at the instructions that Rizuki had written out for him. Rizuki was busy getting some flour from the pantry in another room while Nathan was busy getting the ingredients ready. "Rizuki!" Soon Rizuki's head popped into the kitchen. She made a funny face at him making him laugh.
"You called?" Rizuki asked as she set a bag of flour on the counter top and wiped the flour off of her shirt and pants.
"Well, Imma havin' some trouble figurin' this recipe out," Nathan explained. Rizuki giggles as she stood beside him.
"First, you cut the butter and place it into the pan," Rizuki instructed as she watched Nathan chop the butter into smaller pieces and place them into the pan, "Great, now you preheat the oven." Nathan nodded as he preheated the oven then waited for Rizuki's next instructions. Rizuki carefully and slowly showed Nathan how to make the pancake batter. Nathan nodded as he watched her. He then brought out another bowl and more of the ingredients before trying it himself while Rizuki cut up some more butter and placed it into another pan. Once the oven was hot enough Rizuki and Nathan placed the pan's into the oven and they started their timers. Once Nathan was done with his version Rizuki tried some. She gave him a thumbs up.
"I did it?" Nathan asked. Rizuki nodded.
"Yup, you did it," Rizuki responded with a smile, "Now you know how to make my favourite breakfast of all time." Nathan chuckled as he tasted it.
"Wow, this is really good," Nathan commented with a smile. Rizuki smiled back. Russell silently watched them with a frown on his face. They had constantly been in there ever since Nathan had asked Rizuki if she wanted to help him make dinner, which was about a week and a half ago or so. Russell had been really depressed during that week and a half. The others tried cheering him up, but he just kept on pushing them away and telling them that he wanted to be alone.
"Wait until they're done. They're even better when they're cooked," Rizuki remarked. Nathan nodded in response. "So, how far away are we from the Island of The Sirens Nate?" Nathan thought for a moment before shrugging his shoulders.
"Eh, no idea," Nathan responded, "All I know is if we ask then we'll only get a glare as a response."
"Yeah, that sounds like something Eduardo would do," Rizuki replied with a laugh. Nathan laughed too.
"Yeah, but he's really become a softy ever since ya cake on board," Nathan commented with a smile. Rizuki stared at Nathan for a moment. She was surprised by this.
"Really?" Rizuki asked in surprise. Nathan nodded. Rizuki couldn't help, but smile at this. Russell had to agree with Nathan that Eduardo had become less intimidating ever since Rizuki had come on board with them. "Wow, I didn't know that I would be the one to make Eduardo become a softy." Nathan laughed.
"Heh, yeah, just don't tell him that I told ya that, otherwise who knows what he'll do to me," Nathan said slightly panicked. Rizuki smiled. The two of them continued to chat and laugh while Russell stood outside listening to them. Finally, when the Finnish pancakes were ready Rizuki and Nathan removed the pans from the oven and set them to cool for a little bit before cutting out pieces and serving them to the others. They carefully placed pieces onto each plate and brought them upstairs onto the deck. Russell had sprinted ahead so that Rizuki and Nathan wouldn't be suspicious as to why he was standing outside of the kitchen.
