The next day was my first day of public school. Well, to be honest, it was my first day ever attending school. The Druids tended to homeschool their young, on account of puberty caused our magic to go haywire. I was 17, and had already gone through this horrid transition. So to fulfill my mother's wishes I had to begin going to Tekonsha Junior/Senior High School.

The school was one long hallway, with red lockers lining each side. There was a giant clock at the far end of the school, and a gym on the other. All the kids here looked surprisingly normal, for how rich the history was, and the fact that we lived in the middle of nowhere. Sebastian stood by my side. His dark hair was slightly tousled and a few inches shorter than when we arrived to Tekonsha. Girls smiled as they walked by him, they clutched their books to their frail chests. Luke stood at my other side. He wore his hair in a ponytail, and had a leather bomber jacket slung across his shoulders.

I caught a glimpse of myself in one of the various trophy cases as we walked down the hall. My recently white hair was dyed a pale purple. I adorned my face with a very real lip piercing and thick rimmed glasses. I didn't even look like myself anymore. My clothes, my hair, even the way I walked was different. I had to become different.

The first of the two morning bells rang and the boys and I headed off in separate directions. My first class was physics, a class which I already knew everything about. Sasdly this was the most advanced science class that this school had to offer. I sauntered into the musty smelling room and sat down in the back of the class. There were long black table fashioned into desks, all lined up neatly. The teacher stood in front of the class scrawling his name on the outdated chalk board. He then turned to face us.

"Hello students, as you can see my name is Mr. Sanchez." He pointed to the board. "I am your physics teacher. If you would please look to the person you are sitting next to, these are your lab partners for the rest of the year."

I looked over to see a small girl with red hair. She had pale skin and striking brown eyes. She looked over at me and gave me a weak smile, which caused a rose color to appear on her well structured cheeks. She then proceeded to hide behind her hair.

"Hi, I'm Lucinda." I said.

She slightly removed herself from behind her hair. "I am Lilith Asta."

"It is nice to meet you Lilith. You have lovely hair." I said to her. She smiled again and returned to hiding behind her red veil.

Mr. Sanchez spent the rest of the class talking about boring crap that I already knew about. When the bell rang I watched as Lilith grabbed her books and sprinted from the class. I grabbed mine as well and slowly walked out of the door in the back of the room. Standing in the hallway I saw Bastian surrounded by about five girls, all of them were giggling and flirting with him. His face wore a mask of politeness and satisfaction. He spotted me and raised his hand to wave.

Luke then ran up to me, a smile on his round face. "So? How was your first class!?"

"Eh, it was kinda boring. I already knew everything he had to say."

"Whaaaat?" Luke asked. "How do you know so much?"

"My mom provided many teachers for our home schooling." I said.

"Oh."

I heard the two minute bell and walked to my next class. Oh math, here I come. As I sauntered away, I looked over my shoulder to see Bastian completely consumed by girls.
