I wake to the sun shining in my face. I roll over to see Sebastian laying next to me in various states of undress. His eyes are closed and his mouth slightly parted and he sleeps quietly next to me. I climb out of the bed ninja style and pull the blinds closed. The floor of my room is cold against my bare feet. I slip out of my black dress and into a large t-shirt. I then climb back into the bed and nestle up against Sebastian. His skin is warm against mine. I press my ear to his chest and listen to the soft thump of his heart. Still asleep, he wraps his arms around me and pulls me closer to him. Our legs entwine under the sheets. I close my eyes and decide to sleep for a little longer.

The next time I wake it is because the smell of coffee had filled the room and Sebastian was tracing his fingers up and down my spine. He kisses down my face, neck, and collar bone. His kisses leaving little sparks of electricity flowing through my skin. He smiles at me, one that reaches his eyes.

"You're so cute when you sleep." Bash sits up and hands me a cup of coffee. "It's filled with lots of sugar just how you like it!"

I take the cup from him and sip it slowly. I stare at his bare chest, muscular and covered in ink. He reaches out and takes one of my hands. He presses it to his heart. I feel its strong beat beneath my palm. I set my coffee down on the night stand.

"Do you feel that?" He asks.

"Your heart? Yes." I give him a small smile.

"More specifically, my heart that beats for you."

My eyes widen in surprise. He pulls me onto him. I feel a spike in his heart beat.

"Do you feel that Lucinda Marie. That, is you exciting the hell out of me. You drive me crazy, you make me angry, you make me smile, you make me want to stay ALIVE. When I say my heart beats for you I do not mean figuratively, I mean literally. I want to stay mortal for you." He brushes the hair from my eyes.

Not knowing what to say, I just stare at him. "Oh to hell with it," I say more to myself than to him. I put the hand not pressed against his chest behind his neck. I press my lips to his and wrap my legs around his torso. He continues to stroke my hair as out kisses grow deeper and more passionate. I hear him sigh against my lips and then the tiny poke of his teeth. He pulls his mouth away from mine.

"I am sorry," Bash says turning his head. I run my fingers through the dark hair at the nape of his neck.

"Do not be sorry. I am not." I turn his face back to me. Bastian's eyes are blood red, but still beautiful. His multiple tiny fangs poking out from behind his lips. "Don't move," I command while moving my face closer to his. I let my tongue trace over his fangs, careful not to cut myself.

He groans, "You have no idea what you do to me..."

But then there is a knock at the door. I slowly untangle myself from him and answer. I see Strawberry standing there with her face the deepest shade of red in the history of her blushing. "Um, I kinda have a problem."

"Uh wow, um, okaaay." I say unable to properly respond. In front of me lays Luke, human again but completely naked. He lays on his stomach thank god. I grab a blanket off the couch and throw it over him. He wakes up, groggy.

"What the hell happened yesterday? And why am I naked?" He lifts the blanket to see if he's completely naked. His face is a mix of amusement and confusion. "You ladies like what you see?" He winks at us both.

"Ew don't be gross!" Red yells while throwing a pillow at his face. Luke laughs and rolls out of the way.

"Imma leave you two to chat. Luke put some clothes on! I'm going to go talk to my dad. Behave yourselves." I toss up a peace sign as I walk away. I find my dad in the basement. He sits in the library searching through an an extensive amount of leather bound books.

"Good morning Lucinda," Elan says. He flips through a crinkly book. Its contents unreadable to me.

"Hey, whatcha reading?" I touch the old pages.

"Bash told me about Ethan, I was trying to figure out what might have happened." He keeps turning the books pages. "Can you tell me everything that happened from that night?"

"Um, well, Ethan was dying from cancer that started in his bones but spread into his lungs. I tried to save him using one of grandma's old spells and I also drew on the full moon." I try to think of any other left out details.

"Did you just say your grandmothers spell book?" He asks. I nod my head. "Well, this is good and bad news."

"Um well lets start with the good news?" I raise an eye brow at him.

"Okay, good news, I know what happened. When you used the spell from your grandmothers book it turned your friend into ah, a creature that you have already encountered."

I continue to raise my eye brow at him.

"You remember that story I told you about how your mother and I met?" I nod my head, "Well that night your grandmother wrote the spell that the Wendigo's had used in her book."

"I still don't get what you are trying to say Dad."

"What I'm trying to say is that you inadvertently turned Ethan into a Wendigo, and he absorbed your powers."

My eyes widen in shock, "What?"

"And the only way you will ever get your powers back is if you kill him."
