"Charles!" I exclaimed jumping into my ex's arms hugging him.

"I missed you too Jackie," he laughed kissing me on the cheek.

"Is it just you?" I asked.

"No Em is coming and so is Leah and Tilly," he smiled.

"Guys this is Charles," I beamed at the girls forgetting Jesse. "We used to date but broke up when I left," I smiled at them.

"Jackie!" I heard someone squeal and Em came running in throwing her arms around me.

"Oh Em I missed you so much!" I smiled hugging her, Leah and Tilly walked in and Tilly wrapped an arm around Charles.

"Guys this is Em, and they're the twins Leah and Tilly," I introduced motioning to them.

"And this is Britty and Tabby," I smiled.

"Oh and Jesse," I said his name coldly, "he was just leaving," I mumbled and pushed him out the door.

I closed it behind us and looked up at him, "so that's your ex?" He asked his tone hard.

"Yeah," I said uncaringly.

"Look I'm still sorry," he mumbled.

"Sorry doesn't mean shit unless you show it," I grumbled turning away from him and walking back inside.

I closed the door behind me and I saw Tabby make her way over to me with a sad smile.

"I know something happened," she said telling from my expression.

"Stupid crushes, I kissed him and than I caught him sucking face with Kate," I told her the basics.

"I'm sorry Jackie I should of warned you about him, he's the schools best player but ever since you came he kinda stopped," she apologized.

"It's not your fault Tabby," I pointed out.

"Are you still going to race Friday?" Tabby asked changing the subject.

"I'm not missing it for the world," I smirked and she rolled her eyes at me and we joined everyone back in the lounge room.

"Guys really? Do you have to do that?" I groaned as I was met with the sight of Tilly and Charles locking lips.

They pulled away with a tinge of red on their cheeks and I caught Em's sadden and guilty look, just as I saw it she turned away and continued talking to Britty. She was hiding something, I knew that much.

"I missed you Jackie, it hasn't been the same back home without you," Leah smiled at me embracing me in a tight hug that had me gasping for air.

"Lee- I- can't- breath!" I choked out and she let go smiling at me sheepishly.

"Sorry," she smiled.

"It's alright, how long you visiting for?" I asked switching topics.

"Just a until Saturday morning, we got so bored at home that we just had to visit you," she smiled but I knew there was another reason.

I decided to drop it as I wasn't in the mood for more drama. "Great you can come to the races on Friday than," I said instead of pressing further into the matter.

"Sure that sounds great, Charles booked a few hotel rooms down the road so you don't have to worry about where we're sleeping," she added.

"Alright," I smiled at her and picked up a yelping Lola at my feet.

"She's so cute," Tilly cooed coming over to me with Charles while Leah talked to Tabby.

"Her names Lola," I smiled at Tilly who went to reach out to pat her. Just before her hand came in contact Lola's fur she barked and tried to bite her hand growling at Tilly who had pulled back her hand in fright.

"Naughty Lola," I scolded, "Sorry she doesn't usually do that," I apologized and I swear I heard Em mutter that she has good judgment. What was going on with everyone?

"It's okay," Tilly said and she started talking to Charles about something, I really didn't stick around to find out, instead I walked over to Em who was sitting on the couch.

I sat next to her and she glanced up at me putting on a really bad false smile. "What happened?" I asked softly.

"Nothing," she lied.

"Do you really think in that dumb?" I asked her raising an eye brow.

"Was that the boy you told me about when you were a kid?" She asked changing the subject.

"Yes, and he's different now," I muttered deciding to drop the subject, doesn't mean I wouldn't get it out of her later.

"How different?" She pressed.

"He's not the sweet boy that helped me five years ago, I may of let my guard down and kissed him this morning... But than I caught him smooching someone else," I scolded recalling the memory. Why did I have to do that? I promise to myself that I'll never let that happen again, the pain it caused even though I didn't show it had broken my heart in two. Wait did that mean that I actually liked him? Nah... Probably just because he was kissing Kate, and ugly bitches are just ugly, I was so not jealous.

I defiantly didn't like like him now anyways, maybe I'll just avoid him for now.... Yep good plan, and I'll beat his ass on the race track instead.

"Did you beat the crap out of him?"

"Nah just a slap on the face," I smirked remembering the moment.

"Hmm," she mumbled clearly not focusing that much on what I was saying.

"Em seriously what's wrong?" I asked sternly not liking her troubled expression.

"It's nothing Jackie, just drop it," she said walking away. Well that was weird...

Around five they all left and went back to their motel they were staying in. I promised that I would ditch school and hang with them tomorrow and show them to the races on Friday.

Me, Britty and Tabby sat on the couch with a tub of ice cream around seven at night watching Iron Man, I loved that movie.

Lola jumped up onto my lap and curled up into a ball resting her head on my tummy. I ran my hands through her soft fur and she slowly nodded off to sleep.

"What exactly happened with Kate?" I asked Britty as the credits rolled.

"She said I was worthless, that I was a disgrace to my family, that I'd never be anything, that I'm basically a piece of shit," she said quietly and tears welled up in her eyes.

"The worst part is that's all true I'm a disgrace to my family, apparently I'm that low like chic that works an illegal job just for money and I'm never going to be anything good, no matter how hard my parents push me," she continued breaking down and me and Tabby wrapped out arms around her soothing her sobs.

"Whatever you do you are not worthless, nor will you ever be, you show responsibility by working and earning your money, you will be great you just have to find your perfect job and I never want you to think anything bad about yourself ever," I said reassuringly and she looked up at me smiling.

"She's right Britty," Tabby said kindly smiling at her and she hugged us back while Lola was pushed to the floor in the process. The little fluff ball yawned and went back to sleep on the floor.

"I love you guys," she smiled at us.

"I love you too Britty," I smiled getting off the couch and walking to the cupboard to grab some blankets.

"Britty's gonna crash with me," Tabby called from the lounge room.

"Okay," I called back grabbing an extra blanket and walking back to the girls who were chatting about something.

"Guys I'm ditching tomorrow so don't worry about me in the morning," I informed them throwing Britty the spare blanket.

"Okay, I'll let you know if anything interesting happens," Tabby smiled picking up the now empty tub of ice cream and walking to the kitchen to rinse it.

"That Charles guy was cute," Britty giggled.

"Yeah... But I didn't really have any feelings for him when we dated, he was just nice," I murmured shrugging.

"That girl and him looked like they were together," she pointed out.

"Tilly? Yeah I think they were.." I shrugged again.

"Doesn't that bother you?" She asked worriedly.

"Well not really, I never really felt that way about him," I replied.

"You know they look like they've been dating for like... A year or so."

"I'm not sure when she asked him out but she hasn't been dating him for a year."

"Hmm.... Well it's just the way they act together," she shrugged and stood up carrying the blanket with her and into Tabby's room as I followed.

"I hope your comfy," I smiled as she laid down on the bed and chucked the blanket over her.

"I am, this bed is so soft," Britty moaned loudly.

"Britty you better not be having an orgasm in my bed," Tabby snickered from the kitchen, me and Britty bursted out into laughter and I walked back to my own room.

"Goodnight guys," I called turning off the light and letting Lola come in before closing my door.

She jumped straight onto my bed and laid down on my pillow, I slid into bed next to her and petted her head.

She slowly fell asleep and I couldn't help but wonder what was up with everyone? Did they suddenly all start hating me? What were they hiding?

I glanced at the clock and it read 7:36. Jeez this is an early night. Oh well.

I fell into a troubled sleep around eight, my dreams filled with the problems of the day.
