When I woke I noticed three things,

1. My body was sore.

2. I had pins an needles in my butt.

And 3. I felt like sleeping forever if an annoying alarm clock would stop beeping.

Also that I was in the hospital again because that smell was surrounding me. Disinfectant, I'm so going to spray my deodorant throughout the hospital.

I flinched as I opened my heavy eye lids to the sight of a slightly dulled hospital room, in the corner sat my sleeping dad with a cookie box acting like it was a teddy bear.

I sucked in a breath as I glanced down at my body that felt numb. I didn't have a cast on so I hadn't broken anything which was good but my back really hurt.

I tried to move my arms but the cords that were attached to them kept me from moving. A heart monitor sat at the edge of my bed and I was attached to a drip.

"Dad," I called but my voice was bearly audible and my throat was dry.

I heard voices outside my room and I shut my eyes on reflex as the door handle turned and someone poked their head in, "so has she had any change?" I heard a familiar person ask their voice cracking.

"Young man, I'm sorry but all I can say is she's stable but not awake," the doctor sighed.

"Thank you," the person sighed and I quickly opened my eyes as I remember who's voice it was.

"Jesse?" I asked my voice cracking slightly and the doctors head snapped towards me his eyes softening.

"Is she awake? Is she okay?" Jesse asked trying to look through the door but the doctor blocked him.

"Sir, you need to sit down outside, we still have to perform checks from her surgery and she'll be here for at least the week while her surgery heals," the doctor sighed calling a nurse into the room.

"Can I talk to him, please?" I asked at the same time I heard Jesse ask.

"Fine, but a minute tops," the doctor grumbled moving out I the way so he could get through.

"Jackie, I'm so sorry, I promise when I find who's responsible for this.." He trailed off angrily probably thinking of ways to kill someone.

"It's okay," I said softly my voice sounding dry.

"Do you want water?" He asked and I nodded my head trying to move my arms to pick up the cup he offered.

"Here, let me," he chuckled at my attempt to move my arms and brought the cup to my lips pouring the liquid down my throat.

"I really am sorry, for everything, for being such a douche to you and trusting someone else's word over yours, without even asking," he sighed putting his head in his hands.

"Look, your not forgiven because I keep forgiving you and than you hurt me again, but you are almost halfway there," I smiled.

"Thank you, thank you so much Jackie," he smiled.

"So how long was I out for now?" I chuckled expecting at least three days.

"Well it's Sunday, so only two days," he grinned rolling his eyes at me.

"Why are you here?" I asked expecting him to suddenly disappear or something. I mean why did Jesse care?

"Um..." He trailed off scratching the back of his neck and I had to keep the heart monitor from going crazy.

"I saw the crash, and I had to see if you where okay," he mumbled a pink tint going to his cheeks.

"Your an idiot," I giggled at his shyness.

"A hot idiot," he corrected me with a wink and I felt a blush crawling up my neck.

"You keep telling yourself that," I smirked rolling my eyes at him, "wait, is Toby okay?"

"He'll be fine, but he hasn't woken up yet," Jesse smiled.

"Should I expect there to be people still waiting for me?" I asked.

"Tabby, Britty, Chloe were out there, but Zac and Jordan convinced them to go home and get some sleep, no ones out there now because the doctors shooed them away but they'll be back at visiting hours," he explained.

"What happen to my bike?" I asked reluctantly.

"I'm sorry Jackie, but someone must of tampered with it and.. Well, they did a pretty good job at making sure you couldn't ride it again," Jesse said sadly.

"Agh, who ended up wining?" I questioned.

"Technically Kain with Blake in second but the race was pretty much called off after it exploded," he sighed running his fingers through his hair.

"And what did they say about my none boyness?" I yawned.

"Nothing yet, I'm pretty sure everyone was mainly shocked about the explosion and if you were okay," he smiled.

"Do you reckon I'm going to get fined?" I chuckled.

"Probably not, the races aren't legal anyway," he shrugged.

"So what did you think when you realised it was me?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him.

"Oh I knew, from the very first race, when they said Jack Skye I knew you had found a way into the races," he laughed with a smirk.

"And you didn't say anything?" I questioned frowning.

"What was the point, your a great racer and it would of just taken away my best competition I've had in years," he shrugged.

"Who else knew?" I asked with a sigh.

"No one, except who ever you told," he smiled.

"Wait just asking, but your mums the deputy, but you illegally race, does she know that you do?"

"Probably, I'm pretty sure the whole town knows but they won't do anything about it because there's too much people involved," he yawned an I realised that he had bags under his eyes and his face was wary.

"When's the last time you slept?" I frowned and he scratched his neck nervously.

"Since you went into the hospital?" He asked nervously.

"Yes," I said giving him a pointed look.

"I tried, but I couldn't get to sleep, the only ones that I think actually slept were the girls from crying to much," he said sadly.

"Son you'll have to wait outside, and can you please take the guy with the cookie box with you," the doctor said as he opened the door gesturing towards my dad who was still sleeping.

"Fine," Jesse pouted and I giggled.

"You may need to drag him," I smiled as Jesse stood in front of my dad.

"This is going to hurt my image," he said under his breath and picked my dad up carrying him bridal style.

I let out a giggled as Jesse carried my dad out the door, "he seems to care about you," the doctor smiled walking over to me and fixing the wires so I could move my arms easier.

"His a dork," I smiled back and some nurses walking into the room with bandages.

"So there was a piece of metal from your bike that went pretty deep into your back and punctured your lung, we were able to remove it in surgery and repair the damage done to your lung. But you also hit your head pretty hard when you fell and landed on the ground, there's no sign of any major damage but you'll need to be under supervision incase of internal bleeding from the surgery, so your most likely won't be allowed out until Friday," he listed and the nurses pulled the sheet down showing bandages wrapped around my torso.

"Honey could you just sit up please," the nurse asked kindly and I did as I was told flinching as a stab of pain shot through my back.

Only than did I notice when I was sitting up right the blood soaked bandages covering most my back. "She's bleeding again," one of the nurses tsked like it was my fault.

"No shit Sherlock," I bit out clenching my jaw shut trying not to mutter an array of curse words that were popping into my head.

"Her pain relievers wore off, Shay can you stop pointing out the obvious and get some," one of the young guy nurse sighed and the lady rolled her eyes before walking out.

"Sorry about her," the guy sighed and went to start unwrapping the bandage.

"Fuck, that hurts," I cursed and the lady came back with a huge fricking needle.

"You are not putting that in me," I said shaking my head as she came closer.

"Calm down kid, it goes into your drip," she said rolling her eyes and putting it into a tube.

In seconds my body felt numb and I knew I was loosing consciousness.

"Bloody hell Shay, not that much," I heard the guy nurse mutter before I fully went out.

**

"When is she going to wake up?" I heard someone ask near me.

"The doc said she would come too soon, calm down," I heard another person mutter.

"You can't talk, you were the first one to see her Jesse," I heard someone else say.

"Guys, shut up, I'm sleeping," I grumbled pulling the blanket over my head getting sick of their arguing.

"Jackie!" I heard a girl squeal and I felt someone hug me, I opened my eyes with a groan pulling the blanket down.

"Torso," I winced and they let go.

"Sorry," Britty said sheepishly.

"Thank god your okay," Chloe smiled.

"Look I'm so sorry, for everything I said," Tabby apologised.

"I'm sorry for being a bitch, you were right," I said sadly and she hugged me.

"No, it's your life, and you can live it however you want," she sighed.

"Okay no more sorrys, we want cuddles," Scott pouted and him and Blake came up and gave me one being careful not to hurt me.

"Guys I want my turn," I heard my dad whine and the boys pulled apart chuckling before he hugged me.

"Jackie legs I did not come to visit you in hospital, I came to see you win," my dad chuckled as he stood up.

"Sorry daddy, how's Toby?" I asked.

"Uh.. His fine still hasn't woken up but his stable," my dad stumbled nervously.

"That's good," I said giving my dad a weird look.

"Well they said you'll be in here until probably Friday so we get to hang with you all week and keep you company," Chloe smiled.

"I don't want to ruin your holidays though," I frowned and they rolled their eyes at me.

"You won't be, it'll give us something to do," Zac smiled.

"You really don't have too," I insisted.

"Tough luck, Jackie," Scott grinned.

"Meanies," I pouted. The three boys just stuck their tongue out at me.

"Sorry, but its not visiting times yet, you'll all have to wait outside for ten minutes," the nurse from before said snobbishly.

"But she's awake," Blake pointed out.

"In sorry mister but its the rules," she said dismissively before she walked off.

"She's a bit of a bitch," my dad commented and I had to hold in my giggle.

"Yep, well you better go get me some food, preferably fatty," I grinned as everyone piled out of the room.

"We'll be back Jackie legs," my dad chuckled closing the door behind him.

I rolled my eyes at my crazy dad and even crazier friends.

Now I just can't wait to get out and hopefully Toby will be awake when I do leave.

Hopefully.
