"You sure you want too?" Toby asked with a disapproving frown.

"I'm fine, I can handle school Toby," I offered him a smile.

"Jackie I don't think you should go, just take the rest of the term off it's only two weeks," Logan said coming to stand next to Toby.

"I'm going guys, full stop," I glared at them both irritated now.

"Jackie at least wait until after her funeral," Tabby sighed looking with concern at me.

"If I stay home anymore I am only going to make myself upset," I groaned readjusting my bag strap.

"And if you have a break down at school..?" Toby asked.

"I won't, I'm not fragile, now let me go before I kill one of you guys," I snapped and the boys both stepped out of my way.

I pushed on my helmet and started up my bike, revving I sped off.

They've treated me like a china doll ever since in came back from the run, I would have gone to school on Thursday and Friday but they wouldn't let me out of the house.

It seriously sucked.

I drove into the parking lot ignoring the looks I got from kids.

Parking my bike I slid off my helmet and stuck it under the compartment under the seat. Taking a deep breath I walked into school, I had given up on trying to be a bad ass and had swapped my heals for chucks and my cleavage showing top for a sleeveless hoodie.

"Hey Jackie, haven't seen you since Wednesday," Chloe said coming up to me.

"Sorry, had some family stuff to deal with," I apologised.

"Is everything okay with your family?" She asked concern in her voice.

"Unless you say that okay, would be my mother being dead, then it's all fine," I muttered sarcastically.

Her eyes widened, "I'm so sorry- I didn't mean- Jackie are you okay?"

"Just peachy," I rolled my eyes and she flinched at my tone, I took a deep breath, "I'm sorry Chloe I didn't mean to be rude, just not the best of times."

"It's alright, I understand," she said quietly.

"I'm sorry," I winced, hopefully I won't lash out at everyone...

"It's really okay, I was a bit bitchy when my parents passed as well," she smiled half heartedly at me.

The bell rang and took another breath, "I'll catch you later alright?"

"Sure, bye Jackie," she waved and was swopped away with the crowd.

I walked along to my first class, maths, still ignoring the looks I got.

Pushing open the door I walked in and sat at a table at the back. Unzipping my bag I pulled out my maths book and started doing the work that Tabby had collected for me on Friday. I had asked her to go get all the work I needed from my classes.

"You drive too fast," I looked up at Tabby as she stood over my desk.

"Not my fault," I shrugged going back to my work, "you can sit next to me if you don't ask me to go home."

"Fine I won't," she sighed and slid into the spot next to me.

"Hey girly, you feeling okay?" Kara asked coming to a stop in front of me.

"Yeah I'm fine, how's your mum?" I smiled at her.

"She's recovering and last Friday I received all my paper work for my scholarship, I can't believe the Conserntlia family chose me out of anyone," she grinned sitting at the table next to me.
