It was as normal as a purgatory day could be.

The dark forest was quiet, as usual. The trees stood in silence, waiting for blood to be shed.

The crunching of leaves and footsteps was suddenly heard, breaking the silence.

The sound became louder, and heavy breathing quickly joined. A woman suddenly came into view, her small frame carrying her quickly through the forest.

She dodged through trees and jumped over fallen branches. A smile was glued to her face as she ran. Behind her, three men were running towards her. Their faces were filled with anger and bloodlust.

The woman kept on running, her combat boots thudding heavily on the ground. She was coming up on a wide clearing, where she would be exposed. She kept on running anyways.

As she approached the clearing, she took out her weapon. It was a makeshift sword, it's blade long and sharp. She gripped it tightly in her gloved hand.

"Stop, you're surrounded," a voice called out to her.

A body came into her view as she stopped in her tracks. A bald, dirty man stood in front of her exit. He opened his mouth, exposing sharp teeth. The man hissed in her face.

The woman brought the sword up and sliced the man's head off. Someone gripped her leather jacket and pushed her to the ground, making her fall on the forest floor. With a groan, she quickly got up and surveyed her surroundings.

Two vampires were in her way, and quickly advancing on her. One was of a young man with black hair and the other was a girl with a pixie cut. With a smile, the woman ran to the side, past the vampires and quickly turned to the side again and swung her sword.

It made direct contact with the woman vampire's head, making it slide off her body. The man looked at his partners corpse and hissed, showing his sharp fangs. He ran at the woman and pushed her to the ground. He straddled her waist as he punched her face over and over.

Mustering up as much strength as she could, she put her hands, caked with dirt, on the mans chest and pushed. His body was suddenly off hers and soaring through the air. He screamed as he came in contact with a tree, then slumped against it.

The woman got up slowly, and then made her way towards him. She swiped her sleeve under her nose and looked at the dark blood. She grinned.

Once she was a foot away from the man, she snickered at him. His face was full of fear.

"I-I so s-sorry it was a-a mistake please d-don't eat m-me."

Those were his last words as her jaw dislocates, revealing a mouthful of razor sharp teeth and a serpent tongue. The man's scream soon followed.

Dark, red blood splattered the trees, soaking into its bark and roots. The tree seemed to welcome it's treat.

The screaming soon stopped, and the metallic smell of blood filled the air. The girl stood up and wiped her mouth. With a satisfied grin, she whipped her body around, brown braids flying.

She picked up her sword and exited the forest clearing. The Leviathan started running once more through the forest, leaving the corpses behind. The shadows swallowed her up, and she welcomed it.

Night quickly approached and the Leviathan woman went to her 'home'. She approached a mountain next to a stream and started to climb. Once she saw a slight bump in the grass, she ripped it off to reveal a hole. The Leviathan jumped down.

The hole revealed to be a spacious dirt cave. Smooth stones were laying on the ground, used as a floor of some sort.

She first walked over to a small stack of broken tree limbs and dry grass. Picking up two stones, she striked them together to make a spark. After a few tries, a small spark fell onto the dry grass. Bending down lower, the women blew gently on the small flame that came from the spark. As it grew, she picked up the grass quickly and gently placed it under the branches. A small fire was then started, casting the cave in a warm orange glow.

She then walked toward a big pile of animal furs and put her weapon beside it. The woman fell onto the soft furs with a sigh.

Her bright green eyes stare into nothing, thinking about her day.

She has been doing the same thing every day for many millenniums. Her Creator, God, trapped her and her kind in Purgatory where they hunted each other. Soon other creatures joined, and the forest was filled with deadly creatures. She spends her days killing everyone she saw, trying and asking anyone to find an exit.

She knew the ones she killed would come back, but it didn't really matter. No one knew of a way out.

One day, she was doing her usual routine when a force was pulling her. This was happening to her kind as well since she saw them being pulled into an unknown force and gone within a blink of the eye.

They were being freed.

Excitement bubbled inside her as she was about to be freed from her hell. But the woman was never sucked into the force. It just suddenly stopped when it was her turn. She was the only Leviathan left in Purgatory.

Frustrated, she killed thousands of creatures and destroyed a section of the never ending forest. She was alone for a year, and when she was about to give up all hope, the force was back. But it wasn't tugging her toward it.

It was bringing her kind back. Then everything went back to normal. She went out looking for a way to escape, having no luck, getting into trouble and go home. Then repeat.

A sigh escapes her parted lips. She turns on her side and closes her eyes, hoping sleep would consume her. When she starts to fall asleep, a loud ringing fills her head.

She yelped and sat up, clutching her head. The ringing continued on, and her vision went black. She couldn't see. But suddenly two figures came into view.

It surprised her so much she fell off her bed of furs.

A human soul was in Purgatory. It was bright and singing, calling every creature towards it. But, there was something else. Something more powerful.

A bright white and blue swirling mist was next to the soul. Grace. There was a human and angel in her home. The grace was causing the ringing in her head. It too was calling out to her.

She needed to reach them before anyone else could.

HI HELLO IM SO SORRY IF THIS SUCKED! PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP YET!

This is my first story and I'm trying to do the best I can. Hopefully it's okay.

Any thoughts or criticism is appreciated. If you see any spelling errors, please tell me!

The song at the top is 'I'm So Sorry' by Imagine Dragone. (I love them so much bless) I thought it was a good way to start out the first chapter and it went well with the terribly written fight scene!

If you want, please vote and comment.

I hope you have a great day!😌
